Hi glad treatment finished , I didnt feel that tired really, hair is weird ,some come out but still got all over hair ,just going to see how it goes . I have appt with oncologist week after next, was told swelling would have gone done by then. A bit worried what happens next ,i suppose a scan to see whats what? My last radiotherapy tomorrow, your half way there. It is tiring and going to the hospital every day makes me tired. Glad to hear there are options in the future for us and nice to know treatment still working week later. My dread is hair coming out but if this does the trick it's worth it

just finishing 10 radiotherapy sessions, have felt ok throughout, but short time memory now not good .I have no ballance still and wondered when this may get better.I have been told I will lose hair but this happenings about 3 weeks after treatment. I seem to have more questions than answers right now. So anyone who has been through this advise would be great

Hi everyone, i am very lucky so far, i have had secondary breast cancer on lung and for last three years now only having herceptin and really well. I just wondered if anyone else on herceptin has had itchy skin? i went to Dr and was given cream and anti histomine tablets for itchy shoulder blades but hasnt made much difference. Only had this itchy skin about 4wks? Dr said it wouldnt be connected to herceptin

Hello everyone,
I was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer over 2 years ago and after 2 courses of chemo i am now on just herceptin. I feel full of energy and some days i can just forget about my illness. I am always anxious though of any aches or pains or anything really that effects my health in case its something nasty. I have had a dull ache in my side( did break a rib though last when my dog ran into me!) and general aches in lower back. Luckliy i was due a ct scan which came back showing nothing nasty and my bloods were good so my Specialist not concerned. I wondered if anyone else on herceptin gets these aches and pains and is it anxiety related or in my case is it age im 54. Would love any comments from anyone. Wishing us all good health. Skelts

Been on herceptin since july last year and from reading side effects other people seem to have i feel very lucky. I am full of energy and never breathless or tired. I have flakey nails like lots of other people but thats ok. I am worried though that quite often i get one bout of diarrah( runs -sorry dont think spelling too good)! I cant pin it down to any one food or event. Just it seems that i cant eat and mix food that is rich like i used to. I obviously worry wot is causing this and wondered if anyone else has had sensitive stomach on herceptin? I have had my routine scan 2 wks ago and see the consultant in a weeks time but i would like to hear what you all think. Dont want to work myself up too much before appt

I had my last chemo vinorelbine in Nov and have just been on herceptin since. I feel ok but lately after alot of stress due to other things in my life i feel really tired like sore eyed and almost paniky and tense. So is this just stress or herceptin or still recovery from chemo? Any one any advise. I have just had 14 herceptin. Also my blood pressure is always high after treatment but as i have a history of white coat syndrome no seem bothered at the hospital but i feel slightly anxious about it.

I should feel good i have had a good response to the two courses of chemo over the last year which finished 6weeks ago i am just on herceptin now which i feel fine on. I keep feeling low and irratable and i know i shouldnt really as through all the treatment i coped without feeling like this.Also with the xmas rush i just feel worn out and tired.I know alot of people on this web site are going thro so much worse than me so i am sorry if this seems stupid but i would like to know if anyone feels like this under similar circumstances and how long does the tireness last?

I am having my last venorelbine next thursday and am delighted with the results and am to continue on herceptin. My consultant who i trust completly is off sick so i saw a standin . i asked when it was safe to have my hair coloured again at the hairdressers. I have not lost any hair on this chemo , he said just leave it 4 weeks after the last treatment does everyone think this is ok as i thought i had to wait alot longer than that?

Dear Fallen Angel , so sorry to hear about your mum its so hard to deal with , i lost my mum when she was in her mid seventies to ovarian cancer and watching her go through all the chemo was heart breaking so i have some idea how you are feeling , i now have breast cancer which is why i saw your posting but funny thing is going through it myself doesent seem half as bad as watching mum go through it . Main thing is to be positive and get your mum to laugh at something anything ! it helps. I can be crabby so i expect your mum can be difficult to live with so your dad is finding it hard. How about taking her for a girlie day out , gives your dad a break and it might cheer her up and it gives you both some time together without being in the house if there is an atmosphere. Good luck and hope she is better soon

i had good results last year with a course of fec ( no real side effects) I have started a new course of chemo and herceptin and have just finished the second cycle but although its all livable with i seem to have a permanently windy uncomfortable stomach and no appetite and when i do eat i feel so bloated.
The docter gave me movical after i got consipated on cycle one which cured it but my stomach hasnt felt right since. Has anyone else had these problems and any advise wellcome

thanks for your comments , had second vinorabline today was told it can cause headaches and to drink lots of water so i will give that a go .,Just got rid of headache from last week so hope the water works . Let me know how you got on as well cheezy

i had first treatment of herceptin with vinorelbine last thursday and felt great and was on cloud nine thinking no side effects! By Monday thoough not so good , really bad headache started and sore mouth. i am using difflam for my mouth but has anyone else had this treatment and had the headaches and will it improve . I wonder if perhaps it is just stress because thursday i have to go back for second vinorelbine and am worried that i will not be feeling well when i go
As you can tell in abit of a panic so help please girls!
