Hi Powdow,  I also developed lymphoedema after surgery and radiation. I have swelling in left arm, but it's mild. I've had it for 6 years now. I only have to wear sleeve on flights and lifting weights. It has gotten better over the years. So don't lose faith.  I had Diep flap reconstruction in May. My lung was also punctured.
