Hi ladies I have been in hibernation for a while but popped on to see Cassie's lovely picture. So glad to hear you danced the night away Cassie 💕💕 I am just over 2 weeks since last chemo. Hi ladies - well typical chat with onc who said skin reactions are normal with T. We talked a bit about my feeling that it is allergic and agreed on treatment plan if worse next time. Also agreed to have IV steroids again so that I have them in my system right before chemo infusion. Plan to ask nurses tomorrow to drip in slowly for first 15 minutes as they might be a bit more sympathetic to my concerns. But only half of my bloods were in so will probably only know for definite if chemo going ahead when I get there tomorrow 🙄 Got rads plan too - 15 plus 3 boosters. I can't imagine they will swap me to anything else without a full blown reaction but at least we can take precautionary measures and I feel I have more justification for wanting to be very careful this time around. Hi Starfire I am just popping over from the October thread as Shi suggested I might want to get your advice on some symptoms after T number 2. Number 3 is due Thursday. I flicked back through your posts and think I might have a milder version of the reactions that you had after T1. Hives, swelling etc. I also think I had a lesser reaction to T1 at about the same time but it seems to be getting worse each cycle. Obviously my mind is going forward to how bad the allergic reaction might build up for T3.... I saw your post about your T2 and am sorry you had to go through that as it looked very frightening 💕 Did you find that the hives were worse after a bath or a shower? (Or with any kind of heat?) They seem to sit under the surface of my skin most of the time but then get red and swollen if provoked! They are also quite itchy all the time. I also keep getting very hot ears - did you get that too? Other issues I am having is very swollen joints - particularly my knuckles and puffiness around my ankles and every now and then my face - woke in the night last night sure my lips were throbbing. I hope you don't mind cross comparing my symptoms with yours - I just want to be fully armed for convo with onc tomorrow. I am going to ask them as a minimum to give me the docetaxol very slowly on Thursday just in case of an immediate reaction and tell me what the management plan should be in case I 'just' get a worse version of the hives and swelling. Good tune Meesh 😁😋 Ali does your rash come and go or is it there all the time? I have bumps under the surface everywhere and then they come up as proper hives a few times a day. Arms and legs the worst but face is very puffy and bumpy too. My OH took a picture of me the other day because he said it was officially "the worst I had looked" so that I can look back on it in the months to come to see just how much I have recovered!! Thanks honey - didn't really help very much in the moment!!' My onc seems keen on pushing me through at the highest dose, even with all my raised liver enzymes, so we will see what she makes of the rash especially if my kidney function is compromised 🙈 ... Evening ladies Buddy that is really great news on the endoscopy - so relieved for you 💕 The cycle starts again tomorrow - district nurse visit and bloods tomorrow, onc on Weds and a double session to go through rads and then if all ok last chemo on Thursday. Feeling a bit strange about it. Rash is getting a bit worse but have covered myself in calamine cream today. It was really really bad after my bath which made me think it might be heat sensitive (like prickly heat) and could be part of the hot flushes SEs. I tried ringing gp but gave up after a couple of goes with no answer which is typical of my surgery. Will be seeing onc anyway soon. Ankles ok if I kept them elevated a lot. It is amazing that we are all moving on to surgery or rads so quickly - it seems so very strange to think back to last October and life before chemo (bc). Fairydust is your tongue still pink? Just watch out if it starts to go white again and get more treatment XX my thrush last time was horrendous despite taking the fluconazole from day 1. ... View more

Morning ladies - definitely a go slow weekend for me as T has still zapped my energy. Also have hives everywhere and slightly swollen ankles so taking my loratadine and piriton to see if that helps, hands are also achy. Allergic reaction is definitely worse this time than last so am a little worried if that might mean more of a chance if a reaction with my last T - will have to see what doc says.
