Yes I'm grateful for the screening that picked it up , my surgeon said it's unlikely to have gone to the lymph nodes and unlikely I'll need chemotherapy, though I still need a mastectomy as large area of DCIS, I'm just petrified of the final histology results , yes the waiting is pure torture, and I'm panicking what if the surgeon is wrong , GP has put me on diazapam to help calm me down 🤢 ... Hi kathryn I was exactly the same as you! I had a 1000 doubts had they got it right? should i leave it and go on the loris trial where tgey would keep a close eye under a trial situation as offered by my bc surgeon? Are they over treating? I went out skipping when tvey offered me that "no treatment" exactly what i wanted to hear. However after going away and thinking about it i decided i couldnt live each day with the "what if" and what would be going on inside me so had mx and diep as you know and thats when they found invasive! Hi CC yes my date is 1st may. Will pm you. Hi Daisymoo well done on getting through Thor mastectomy. I am awaiting my surgery on 1st may diep immediate reconstruction. Conorchloe and Ezzie have both already been through it and have both have positive experiences of the surgery and recovery so that is good to know.
