Big thank you, Jaybro Wonky & Lucy51.  You really understand how I feel.   I didn’t intend any criticism of my friends.  They have been a lifeline during treatment.  But they have their troubles and I do my best to be a good friend.   Everyone tells me how well I look and it’s only those like you, who have been through this particular ordeal, who understand how the effects of breast cancer go on far longer than people imagine.  I think I was trying to convince myself to cut myself some slack and stop pretending everything’s fine.   You’ve cheered me up with your posts.  I hope that this (long) recovery goes well for you. Hi Christine, sorry only just seen this, sorry to hear you have been messed around and no I don’t think you are being unreasonable. Your oncologist should know when you started your herceptin! I hadn’t realised you needed more surgery, what are you having done? I hope you can get it all sorted, this is stressful enough without all of your hospitals inefficiencies! X ... View more

Hi all, first 'treatment' today - why does that make it sound like you're having a swanky facial?   Anyway, picc line was a blessing, administering the drugs was v quick, painless and stress free.   Had lunch and out in 3 hours.     I walked the dog, cooked the dinner, it's 23.00 and I'm not super tired yet but that might be the steroid buzz.  I was told it would have worn off by now.    Tomorrow and the next week will be a steep learning curve for me but, for now, it's all good.      ...
