Hi ladies ive been to see my oncologist today and been on letrozole for nearly 6 months... the achey joints have been unbearable but what also,worries me is the thinning bones...I had a bone density test which shows my bone density is low...I'm taking the calcium/vit d tablets but was told can't take the once a week  alendronic acid tablets until I've been to the dentist.  Went to the dentist and was told can't do any work as to near my recent treatment.  Meanwhile, as said, been to see Oncologjst today and she's giving me script for Tamoxifen .. decided will try these and going back in 3 months to see how I get on.  Been told possible side affects but these will protect my bones so for me def worth a try.   Sorry I've rambled on so much 🙂 ...sending love and hugs to all you lovely ladies xxxxx ... Hi Brannelly,   I read with interest about your incontinence with taking letrozole... as well as aches and pains I've also noticed how I now have to go to the toilet asap & with great urgency....it's really difficult when I go out & at times have almost wet myself. I've been taking these for 5 months now and  I'm going to see the oncologist next week and will tell her this and will get back on here to let you know what she says.  Hope you will soon be wearing your real underwear! 🙂 x ... Hi ladies ive just been reading this forum and pleased I did.  I have been taking letrozole for the past  2 months and found that with Sandoz I had  horrendous hot flushes, my next brand which I started last week was Cipla.  This past week I have been suffering with aches and pain and headaches, blamed it on all sorts but now connecting it with the tablets.  I've also been given actsvis which seems to have a better write up on here so think I  will start those tomorrow and see how it goes.  I started to go to a support group last week and they mentioned there about the different side affects of these tablets, so I guess it's trial and error until we find the one that suits us.  Good luck to all you lovely ladies, this site is amazing for all of us. take care xxxx ... Hi ladies i finished my rads on Friday and I'm so exhausted now, more than I was during my 3 weeks of rads.  Was told to expect this fatigue and soreness, I know it will pass but makes going back to work at the moment a definite No.  Good luck to all you ladies on here, it's just so helpful to share our journey and hopefully be able to reassure others. Hi lovely ladies   i had my 10th rad today, only  another 5 to go. Getting red and sore now been using aloe Vera and bio oil and notice some of you are using aveeno, so think I'll  give that a try.  The staff have been amazing and I've got to know the others in My time slot, there's been lots of banter and laughs, even talking of a future reunion.  I am really tired now but been getting up at 6 for my rads and not always sleeping well.  Hope you lovely ladies have a great weekend and enjoy this lovely weather. xxxxx ... Hi Andi   yes I did have a dexa scan, I received the results by letter 3 weeks after the scan.  Had to see my G.P. about it and been given bisphoshonate tablets, just have to take once a week alongside the calcium/vit d tablets.   Been advised to see dentist before taking to see if need any dental work doing, I'm going to leave it until my rads are finished, my 1st week is over and just have another 2 weeks left.   Good luck to all you lovely ladies and wish you all a great weekend.Xxxx ... Hi everyone i started.my rads on Monday staff as ever are brilliant and so far so good.  I find the tiredness  overwhelming at times but thinks that's mainly from the hormone tablets.  I've found I also have low bone density so been given tablets, just one a week, to help,with that. Hi ladies I had my planing yesterday and my rads start April 23rd, also had a bone density scan and this Saturday due a ct scan of my thorax,abdomen and pelvis with contrast.  All becoming overwhelming now and feeling very anxious.  I've been told bachs rescue remedy is very good and helps.  It's so nice to be able to come on here and share as don't won't to worry friends and family with my worries. big hugs to all you lovely ladies. Hi ladies i have my scans next week for bone density, & ct scan for radiotherapy.  I've been advised to use aloe Vera, sanex deodorant which is alcohol and aluminium free & bio oil.   I guess it's trial and error and we find out which suits us the best. the next step step for us, thinking of you all xxx ...
