Was suppose to start Chemotherapy tomorrow ( 5th June) but panick set in last week. After my mastectomy & full node clearance almost 5wks ago I didnt feel fully healed & ready for chemo ..Also wasnt mentally prepared if Im being totally honest. Spoke to my Oncologist who agreed to delay till 27th June & now received a letter saying appoitment is 16th July .. I will phone up tomorrow to check as Oncologist told me no later than the 27th June. Just wondering is anyone else felt they had to delay? Im so scared of chemo & the side effects, cant even sleep on a night.

Oh my it must have been awful for you over easter, Im bad enough over the weekends. Im having mastectomy first then chemo, but dont know a date for my op till next thursday when the surgeon is back from holiday. Best wishes to you sweetheart *hugs* xxx

Hi everyone ...Thursday had my biopsy results of a sort as the surgeon was on holiday for a week so I dont get to see him till next week. Had a painful biopsy the previous week & they told me the worst. Had to go back for pathology results 2 days ago (thursday) which showed I need mastectomy, chemo & rads. Ive opted not to have recon as Im terrified of surgery at the best of times without making it worse. Whilst I was there they wanted to do another biopsy ( vacum) as they didnt get the full picture the previous week. I cried the whole way through it, Im a right old wuss. Now I cant get my head round the whole journey ahead, cant eat or sleep, Im such a wreck. If theres anyone in a similar situation or been through it Id love to hear from you. Jenny ~

You sound so brave & thank you for your kind support. Do you find the nights the worst? I wake up to turn over in bed & panic sets in. Hi Gill, Im so sorry your going through all this, you sound such a lovely person. How long did you have to wait for your treatment plan? And did you feel a bit better once you found out? I feel so in limbo as I dont whats ahead of me & or what questions I should be asking. My Consultant mentioned I could be facing surgery, chemo, radiotherapy but until we have the results from the Pathologist we dont know what we're dealing with. My biopsy was painful & left me feeling battered & bruised, which they warned me off. I was told its something to do with Calcification but my head didnt absorb all the told me. Have you got plenty of support at home? My Husband was with me for the disgnosis and a great support. Sorry for my ramble, I have so many questions but dont know what to ask if that makes sense?
