Hi ladies I hope you can help me. How soon after lumpectomy with mammoplasty and SNR can I have a shower? I don’t have any dressings or steri strips on my wounds just a clear glue. I had my surgery Friday 12th October and have just been washing using a flannel but I really want a ‘proper wash’ . Thankyou

Hi ladies it went really well yesterday. The results from my MRI & CT were both negative so it hasn’t spread anywhere else 😁 and finally got a diagnosis and treatment plan. I have Grade 3 Triple Negative and will be starting chemo 2 weeks at beginning of June 😬 Got to have my marker put in on Friday and another lymph biopsy as that is still inconclusive 😏 . So it begins....... xxx 💖

Hi ladies I have my 1st appointment with my oncologist today. It may sound weird, I'm not looking forward to it but in a way i am as it will put my mind at ease as I will know what's what and hopefully finally get a full diagnosis. I know I will be having chemo before surgery so looks like I could be joining all the May ladies pretty soon 😬 . My husband is dreading it more than I am as he said with this appointment it makes things seem very real, and that things will soon be happening. I've got my pad and lots of questions ready to ask but if anyone has any suggestions of what I need to ask I would be most grateful. Love n hugs ladies 💖

Hi ladies I had both my scans and they were fine. Not as bad as I thought they were going to be. I didn’t enjoy my ct ‘cocktail drink’ (contrast medium) I had to drink over an hour before the scan. I liked it even less later. What goes in has to come out 🤢 🤮 💩 🚽 🙈 😂 😂 😂 😂 . Just waiting to see my oncologist on Monday. Wishing you ladies lots of love n hugs 😘 🤗 💖

Hi Magsta, sending you a massive hug. I know how you feel about waiting for results it is the worst thing ever. I’m still waiting for my HER2 results, my others were E- P- Got my CT and MRI Scans next week. My lymph biopsy was also inconclusive. It is such a scary time, but there are lots of lovely ladies on here who have been through it before and ladies like me who are newly diagnosed. So yesterday I was given the dreaded news. I have a grade 3 tumor. The biopsy I had on my lymph node came back as inconclusive and I'm still waiting result on HER 2 So my plan is MRI and CT SCAN so depending on all results I will either have chemo before or after a lumpectomy. Not sure its fully sunk in yet as I am very calm, I'm sure it will hit me soon. The waiting is the worst.

Hi Floss I'm so sorry about your results but we are both in the same boat. I was diagnosed with a grade 3 cancer. I'm still waiting on the results of the HER2. The results of my lymph biopsy were inconclusive so a desicion will be made after my MRI and CT SCAN as to what treatment I need. My surgeon is hoping to go straight to surgery but if not not it will be chemo first then a lumpectomy. Im not sure it's sunk in yet as I'm very calm. I hope you are ok.
