Indeed pour you! I always wondered How Well those busy nurses have to work together and do they mix the bags of chemo somewhere else? Yesterday I finished my last six chemo, after a delay of a week. After the fourth dose of Docetaxel and Carboplatin my blountcount became to low and I needed a bloodtransfusion, after the fifth again a bloodtransfusion and my platelets in my blood were low as well. I developed in my mouth an abcess in my gums at my front tooth and my dentist cleared this up for me and gave me penicilline. This was on my birthday, I turned fifty! Than they waited a week and lowered the Docetaxel with 20%. I protected my feets during all the treatment with frozen peas, I took with my in my coolbag. During the Docetaxel I stuck my feet in the square cool bag fifteen minutes before the Docetaxel started. and layed my feet between the Frozen peas bags, and waited fifteen minutes after the Docetaxel to take them out. This way my feet are perfecty well preservered. My fingernails however I could not protect, becourse the chemo transfuse was attached there and most fingernails turned dark purple and are a tiny bit sore. Also my veins in my hands turned dark but are healing now. I am done now, one year of Herceptin to finish of every three weeks and after a month rest I can start Tamofixen. I dread this hormone blocker, but after my mastectomy there was found a stage one, grade three Estrogen positieve tumor, and HER2 as well. But hoora! Finished with the chemo.
