Hi there,   I had a similar experience. Biopsy in one breast showed cancer and the MRI detected something odd in the other breast. Had a second biopsy.    I was really anxious while waiting for 2nd biopsy results but I calmed down when I realized, "better to find it now rather than later" and "if it is a second cancer they (Dr.'s) will figure something out".    In my case, the second biopsy was some harmless thing, but even if yours is something significant, it IS better to find it now, and the Dr.'s WILL figure out how to get rid of it!   Hope this helps!   Avibaby         ... I just had the planning session today, had troubles staying in position because of my arthritis in my shoulders and arm joints.  So I asked them "what do you do with someone who has REALLY BAD arthritis" and they said that I have to take Tylenol before each session, which makes sense of course.    So the planning session was a little frustrating for everyone involved... glad to hear that I am past the worst session and into the shorter ones!   Tx. ... Hi Maggie,   So happy that you were able to hold on during your most recent phase of the excruciating waiting game. Not easy to wait as long as you did.    Congrats on the surgery date - you are in a new "waiting" phase - but it won't be as difficult, i.e. it's much easier to walk when you KNOW where the stepping stone is.    Sounds like you know how to keep your mind in your "normal" life.          ... Hi Ieza,   Call your doctor and ask why the difference.   Here's what happened to me:   At mammogram I was told that my lump was 1.4 cm.   At my pathology report I was told .6 cm   At my pre-surgery appointment I was told that 1.4 cm was correct.   The reason for my discrepancy is that the maximum size of my biopsy sample was .6 cm, so the pathology report said the width was the same as the sample size.   Avibaby ... Hi BRE,   Nice to meet you!    I too was a bit nervous about the surgery - it turned out that the worst thing about it was that I wasn't able to sleep the night before.   I had the surgery at 10:30 am and woke up from surgery at 1:00.
