Hi Katiepoo I was on 2 lots of antibiotics after my surgery for hot red swollen boob. Was told cellulitus, Seroma or lymphedema seems each docs views were different. But sorted eventually. Still have hard lumps around scar and inside lower boob can get a little swollen and bra leaves indents in it, slight orange peel effect too but oncologists say it's fine. Hope the antibiotics work quickly for you and you soon feel better. It does take a little time but eventually it settles down. Keep using cream and drinking plenty helps with tiredness. Hi Katiepoo I've not commented for a while I finished Rads end of October. Everything has settled down nicely no lingering skin problems just occasional bout of tiredness. I was also diagnosed through routine screening, so lump to feel. I'm trying not to think about other breast and possibility of anything wrong there. I do check but if It can't be felt then its early screening that will find anything so I'll cross that bridge next November when I get first screen. As for nausea I was the same but it was the meds. I take carbimazole for overactive thyroid, letrozole, vitamin D, Calcium and Naproxen pain relief. All these were upsetting my stomach so docs have me omezaporole (spelling??) This settled everything down. I'm enjoying my Christmas present a puppy Cocker Spaniel called Jet he's gorgeous. Getting cuddles and keeping busy with our new family member. Hi I've still got bothersome skin condition 3 weeks after rads. I developed a reaction to e45 cream during 2nd week and came out in blotches/hives. I have a little red sore skin under bust in fold but cream seems to help. My breast still gets quite warm and the itching is easing off a bit now. I'm feeling a bit down about this constant fixation with my breast. Can't wear bra for long ribs hurt a little on treated side good boob seems to big now and I just wish the skin problems would settle down and I could get some propper sleep. Is anyone still having problems like this after rads. Hugs Susan x

Hi Elaine There are no seams on comfort top just an opening inside where the padding can be removed. This is the area on left side breast that's getting sore. My bra is seamless but has interfacing on lower part of cups this is also causing problems. Not sure if I could go out shopping etc. Without a bra on. Lol Hope your radiotherapy sessions go well. I finished 15 rads end of October during my second week I developed hives from the e45 cream. Doc said it was a reaction to the lanolin. I was prescribed hydrcortisone which relieved the itching and calmed them down a bit. I'm almost 2 weeks post rads and the hives are still bothersome. I've been using diprobase cream the rads team gave me and as long as I'm wearing a vest I'm only itching occasionally. When I wear a bra or comfort top I get ridges and indentations on my boob and one spot is quite irritated. I need support a bra provides but after a few hours I have to change into a vest. Oncologists says I've Breast lymphedema, my surgeon said it was a seroma. Confused or what... Anyway was wondering what to do for support and comfort through the day, happy to wear vest when home. I'm allergic to plasters so can't cover the problem area. I have to go out wearing a bra but it just irritates the same area all the time. I'm not in any pain I don't have any burns just a little red and warm. I don't go back to see oncologists until Feb. Any suggestions please. Susan x

Hi jo Hope you enjoyed your lazy day. I'm feeling ok had last review with doc everythings fine so far. If the fatigue kicks in later I've got my comfort blanket ready on back of sofa. Lol I think I'm coping with the warm red boob as I had infection soon after surgery and that was a lot worse. Hi julsey Sorry to hear your having effects, may I ask what effects you're having so far. If you're really worried please talk to your rads team they should be able to help. Mine are really good don't be afraid to voice your concerns. I'm sure you'll get through all your treatments. 13/15 Almost finished rads, I'm doing ok doctor gave me hydrocortisone for hives and there not itching as much now. Letroze settled down too occasional hot flush not much joint pain as I take naproxen, vit D and calcium I think they are all helping. Hope everyone is ok and getting through treatments. Hi ellajo I finish my rads next Wed. It's fine after you've had first session. Just strange at first in room with machine but I found the ladies were great really put me at ease. My problem was the 45 minute journey as I'm a terrible traveller. I got used to it about half way through and had a coupe of appointments that ran over time but for most part we had a 3hour round trip including treatments. I'm sure you will be fine where are you going for treatment, I go to Sheffield. The time does go by fairly quick and they treat you very well. Hope your treatment goes ok. Hugs Susan xx

Well done Jo you're all done and I echo ladybowler's sentiments to take care of you while taking care of your hubby. 11/15 so far but got small problem looks like I've got hives from e45 cream too much lanolin. I'm now on diprobase cream and they'll see how it is tomorrow. Really itching but managing to keep away from scratching. I'm ready for weekend break after tomorrow need a good night's sleep. 9/15 Radioligist pleased with skin so far little red patches may be too much lanolin in e45 cream so said I can use Aloe Vera gel I've kept in fridge. JWD pleased you're almost finished and sorry to hear hubby starts chemo on Friday not given you much of a break as it. Seems Never ending this C stuff. Take care both of you. Susan x

8/15 Hi JWD well done turning water into wine (neat trick) 😁 Glad the rads are not causing you many problems at this stage My boob was already fairly pink on starting rads and now it is a bit redder. I've small blemishes that I'm trying to keep at bay, not sure if they'll amount to anything hope not. And itching a fair bit at times. I've a review tomorrow so they'll check. I purchased some pink vests for BC month but the lace edging has caused a rash on opposite side around arm pit. So not sure what to sleep in at moment. I've got comfort tops so might be those. You'll be finished this week then and ringing that bell. Take care Susan x

Having a family meal on Sunday for Birthday as daughter's working Sat. Got some new goodies for my hobby I'm a keen card maker and donate them to charity when ive made a box full. Roads are going fine so far nightmare travelling to a busy Sheffield each day but I seem to be coping. Need loo though as soon as we get there. Eeeee all this water drinking.
