Hi CoffeeBean Im taking letrozole too and had horrendous hot sweats...my oncologist gave me citalopram tablets and the difference is unbelievable! Hi daffodil63 I had a right mx and lymph node in March 19... I was in complete agony with my shoulder! I couldn't sit or lie comfortably for quite some time! Hi Jencat I'm so sorry to hear you've had a recurrence of BC -i haven't been on here for a while!  I had chemo before my mastectomy but I never actually felt my lump...it was found on a routine mammogram and I could never bring myself to feel it! When I saw my surgeon after my mx he told me that the largest piece of tumour they found when examining my breast was 4 mm so it had gone from 7 cm to 4 mm -hopefully your treatment "does the trick"... thinking of you!    Aneeebel x 😘💕   ... Hi Sunflower14   After my first Zometa infusion I was so poorly...high temperature, headache, felt weary and unwell, for about 3 weeks!  I mentioned it to the nurse when I went for my second infusion and she seemed surprised that i'd been so unwell, said it wouldn't normally affect you like that and it was possibly a coincidence and I'd had a bug!  I was fine following my 2nd infusion except for a headache for a couple of days!  Hopefully you'll be fine after your 2nd dose xx 💕 ... SooBee....  How frustrating that you haven't had a call back from your BCN!    I've just had a quick look on the Ask a Nurse section...it says the helpline is open on a Saturday until 1 o'clock but if you post a question over the w/end they'll respond on a Monday! Hi Nanna J I finished chemo in Jan, surgery in march and then rads in may this year.. I had an oncology appointment in June for a follow up appt... I then had another appt on Wednesday this week! As it happens I've been having pains in my thigh for a few weeks so my Oncologist has referred me for a bone scan..but had everything been "okay" she would have discharged me... when I said Oh, I thought I would have been coming to see you for a while,  as you would expect, she said No, as your treatment has finished we would discharge you and if you have any concerns you would contact your BCN!! Hi Densie  Isn't it a nightmare trying to get the brand you prefer!  I'm on Letrozole and I've asked in 2 or 3 of the larger chains and they all said they can't get a specific brand... I did, however, go into an independent pharmacy and they managed to order the Accord brand for me! In fact, he ordered an extra 12 boxes and has put them to one side..hopefully they'll still be there when my next prescription is due! Other than asking in different shops I'm not sure how you could get your medication I'm afraid! 🌼🌻   ... View more

Jencat... my mammogram was on my left breast, I had a mastectomy in March this year on my right breast.. so at least I know my remaining breast is "normal"... I'm assuming I'm one year clear as it's a year since my last nammo! 👙💗 ... View more
