Hi Gaby So sorry to hear you’ve struggled with your EC 😞. I hope you feel “normal” soon. I had my last THP on 27th Dec and I was told that I’d have surgery 6 weeks later. I have an appointment tomorrow with my consultant where I will be given my date, I’m guessing early Feb for me. I then have an oncology appointment on 28th Feb to discuss my radiotherapy. Did anybody on here so 3 x FEC and then 3 x THP? I have been so ill with the THP compared to the FEC. TMI but.....I’m worrying I could be pregnant which I know is bizarre but today I realised the contraceptive implant in my arm expired back in June. My periods stayed normal through my FEC but stopped in October (if I remember rightly) and now I’m stressing that this constant nausea is morning sickness and not an SE as I was told by my oncologist that THP is kinder than FEC. Morning ladies. Gaby that is fab news about the MRI, so pleased for you. Lisa-T, I had my first T yesterday along with my H and then my first P the day before. so far no nasty SE to report. I just felt my lump and it feels like it has reduced in size slightly, it was 5-6cm (depending on who I asked) I’m not going to get my hopes up as the FEC didn’t reduce it at all but it did prevent it from getting larger which is fab. Aley, I’ve not heard of that trial. I will google it now but no I’m not on it. At the hospital I attend they give you an MRI after every 2 rounds of chemo to keep a track of it. I’m in bed feeling really sick 😞 Xx ... View more

Aley, I had a Picc line put in on Friday as I told my onc I could no longer cope with needles in my hand, my hand is still bruised and painful from the last chemo session 3 weeks ago. I was told my MRI results during today’s chemo. So far after 2 FEC chemos the tumor hasn’t shrunk but also not got bigger which they are please with. I start the THP on 13th November which they are hoping will start to shrink it, if not they may delay the rest of the chemo and operate early just in case it starts to get bigger. Hi Ladies. Hope you’re all having a good day. My name is Cat, I’m 40. I was diagnosed with HER2+ BC on 6th August, within a few days I had MRI, CT and PET scan but although being told the results (no spread) I’ve never actually been told what stage I am or the size of the tumor. I think it’s in 1 lymph node if I remember rightly. I started FEC on 11th Sept, shaved my hair just after my second FEC and I have my 3rd FEC on Tuesday (23rd). My SE have been standard really, constant nausea for about 7 days (I take Emend, Ondansteron and Metoclopramide) On 13th November I start THP chemo so I’m going to ask my onc what the side effects are with that. Im such a baby when it comes to being sick and nausea. Mentally I’m getting stronger, I lost the plot when I was diagnosed as I lost my mum 11 years ago to BC. Hubby works away in the week so it’s just me and my 6 year old son Parker. He’s amazing and has dealt with my hair loss amazingly. I always wear my wig to school for him as he said he’s worried for me that people stare but today I went out in just a beanie and he didn’t even notice bless him. He is off school at the moment with a sickness bug, I’m praying I don’t catch it until after I’ve had my bloods taken on Friday. Anyway, I think that’s it about me!!
