Hiya Debi hope you’ve managed to sort of the seroma and it’s not causing you any more problems. I asked my Oncologists Registra today, about the Zoledronic acid. I was told I won’t need that as I am pre-menopausal. Just wondering if anyone else in my position has been told the same? Most of the exercises have been various stretches, ranging from reaching up a wall whilst standing, and above my head whilst lying down. I would definitely get referred to a physio as only they can ‘snap’ it. I’m not going to lie, it does hurt but it’s done gradually. Even my surgeon had a go at snapping it, on a follow up appointment after my op. It was after that, that I got referred for physio. She massages the cording but in a way that gradually snaps it or just loosens it a bit. She did say it may never go completely but it does look much better now. When she massages it, it can feel like a Chinese burn (if you ever did that as a kid) I hope you get it sorted as it won’t go of it’s own accord x ... View more

Hiya Bramley so sorry to hear that chemo didn’t get rid of all the c cells and that you ended up having further surgery. Fingers crossed surgery has got rid of the stragglers and if not, Radiotherapy sure will 👍 I developed cording after my mastectomy, even though I was doing my exercises. I still have physio now to address this(op was in Feb). It’s much better than it was and my physio was able to ‘snap’ some. It’s still visible but nowhere near as bad. It’s more of a cosmetic thing for me now. Hiya All update from me. Well after a few months break from chemo, due to heart probs, I’m now finally back in it.  I’m on weekly Paclitaxel and have had 4 so far. I have to say that up to now, I’ve not really had any side effects. Few aches, tired n picked up a cold that I can’t seem to shift. Neutrophils are 1.6 so on the low side, but obvs still ok to have chemo. Lizandsaeah- who runs the ‘moving forward course’. I may look at this when I’m closer to finishing. Hiya All firstly Congratulations to all whom have finished their chemo and good luck to those due surgery. Well I saw my Oncologist on Monday and following months of uncertainty, I am finally getting back on Chemo. Due to start the week after next and will be having 12 weekly sessions of Paclitaxel.  Got my heart mri at last today, so hopefully that won’t change anything. I previously mentioned that my brother was diagnosed with lung cancer, well sadly he lost his fight last week. I am completely broken but one thing he wanted more than anything, was for me to get better, so I will try to be strong and get through the next few months for him. I know we’re all in this together, but sometimes it’s nice to know people who understand what you’re going through, are also there to support you. Bramley- yes I’ll be having Radiotherapy but I still worry about anything that passed through my lymph’s, as they were found to have C too. I’ll just have to keep telling myself that everything will be ok. Regarding the letters, I also get a copy of every letter that my Oncologist sends out, whether that be to my own GP or to the Cardiologist. I don’t get them from the Cardiologist but I did recently, as I asked for a copy. You could ask your GP for a copy of all the letters that your Oncologist sends them. Hiya Deb, Im not bad thanks. I saw my Oncologist yesterday and yet again, chemo is not to go ahead this week. I’ve not had chemo since May and only had 3 sessions. Luckily I’ve already had a mastectomy and lymph nodes removed, but I’m still anxious about little stragglers travelling around my body. I previously mentioned that the chemo has weakened my heart (ejection fraction from 55 to 42), but my recent heart CT shows I have a blocked artery. Im now awaiting an mri. Oncologist told me that due to heart probs, I may not be able to have more chemo n he’s also got to rethink my hormone treatment. Why does everything have to be so complicated. He is a top Oncologist though, so I know he’s doing his best for me and will come up with the best treatment plan. Evening all Well I finally had my heart CT today, so fingers crossed, all will be ok, so I can crack on with my chemo. I am miles behind you all now, with me having such a long break from it. I’ve had 3 sessions and will be going onto weekly Paclitaxel for up to 12 weeks! That’ll take me up to around October.  Im also unsure about ringing the bell, as I’ll still have 3 weeks of Radiotherapy to do afterwards....I’ll decide nearer the time, but will defo be relieved at the end of it all. On top of this, I’m supporting my brother who has been diagnosed with lung cancer, he had his first chemo last week. Life can be so blummin cruel can’t it, but we are close and there for each other. We’ve already lost our Mum to lung cancer, so feel we’ve had our share of this awful disease.  Anyway, wishing you all well with your progress and it’s nice to know some are so close to the end of chemo 😊 x ... Hiya All hope your treatments are going as well as can be. Well I’m still on a slight break from chemo, due to heart issues. It appears the chemo has weakened it. I’m on medication to try to strengthen my heart. I was meant to be going into Docetaxel every 3 weeks, but if all ok with my heart CT, I’ll be starting Paclitaxel. Is anyone else on that treatment please? my Cardiologist said going on heart medication and discontinuing with chemo, should strengthen my heart, but obviously my Oncologist said I need to get back on chemo, to stop cancer coming back, as it was in my nodes x ... Hiya Lizandsarah Thankyou for your advice. I’m not looking forward to it but hopefully I’ll be prepared. Will see if my Dr can prescribe something before I actually get the symptoms. He may make me wait until I’ve got pain before he gives me anything. I already suffer with constipation thanks to IBS, so no doubt it’ll get worse. Hiya Christine   yeah, hopefully the Ecg was done wrong for you and they will discover you’ve not had a heart attack and all is ok. The palpitations I can cope with, but the pain/tightness in my chest left me pretty much housebound and sitting still for around a week. At the worst, each time I went to get up, it felt like my heart was pounding out of my chest. I was on all fours getting up the stairs at one point. Luckily that has eased off now and it’s just palpitations. Consultant stated that EC can have that effect, but he just wants to make sure all is ok before I move onto Docetaxel, which apparently isn’t as bad on heart, but does still put body under a lot of stress. Luckily I’ve had my mastectomy so any slight delay in my chemo should be ok. x ... View more

Evening ladies   well my chemo has been cancelled again today. Was meant to have it last week, but it got postponed in order for me to have an echocardiogram and a 24hr ECG on my heart. Been suffering with chest pain and palpitations. Results show I have an irregular heart rhythm. Oncologist wants me to be referred to a cardiologist just to get it checked out, before further chemo. He said the pain & palpitations could be side effect of the EC, but wants to make sure I don’t have any underlying heart condition.
