I would recommend you to wait after the chemo. I don't think if the procedure will be done just some days or weeks before the chemo, it won't leave the result you desire for. On top, you won't be able to remove them as everybody does, and you'll be forced to search how to remove microblading eyebrows at home. Hi Kelly,  Just seen your post and I to am suffering from chest pain after 2nd FEC. Ended up in Hospital as face burning, low temp etc but bloods, ecg, chest x-ray all clear.  My pain goes across front of chest, scapula and down outside of both arms.   Had ultrasound on heart before Chemo started and all good so might just ask for another one for piece of mind. I spoke to Onc Nurse and she said it was probably down to the GSF Injections but I’m not convinced. Any slight activity just walking even and my Fitbit shows raised heart rate over 100 and mine is usually low. Did you find out what might be causing it as I know Chemo can affect the heart. When you get your voucher you will be told where it can be used, and how much it’s worth. I was lucky in that my Trust paid for my wig. The wig fitter ( is that what they’re called???) advised me to choose short, so the ends don’t frazzle, get a handwoven one, so it looks natural, and have a lace cap, which is lighter and looks like your scalp. Obviously mine wasn’t real hair, but more than good enough to fool friends and family. I would have struggled to pay what it said on the box.  I loved it. I called it my shake’n’go look. Hi Kelly, I would always go the hospital route first . Phone the unit to let them know what is happening. They may very well point you to your GP who can then prescribe. You should have an exemption certificate so you don’t pay for meds while on treatment. You don’t want to muck up your chemo meds with over the counter meds, do you? MBJ have you lost anymore hair yet from elsewhere? It’s really weird isn’t it? I succumbed yesterday and had a no 4 cut. Apart from being a bit chilly I feel so much better! Hi Becky, there are national guidelines for all treatments, and hospitals can be fined for not meeting those targets. In my case it was four weeks so that both my wounds had healed. I had a WLE with full LN excision. In addition, I had a Hickman line inserted which was scheduled in a theatre, so that had to be factored in. You will meet with your surgeon who will determine if the wounds are healed satisfactorily. Then you will be passed on to the oncology department  who will double check the wounds to their satisfaction before proceeding with the chemo. That’s good to hear.    I empathise with your your difficult situation. Mum lives 85 miles away and I’m in the process of getting her moved nearer to me. This all seems to be happening now when I’m due to have surgery!   I saw the surgeon again yesterday. He came in announcing ‘good news’. It’s contained so just a lumpectomy with a couple of cautionary lymph nodes to be removed. I’ve got the date and feel very relieved.   I’m on letrozole for five years. Hiya and thank you for your response. Well it appears that I made the right decision to have the mastectomy as they discovered I had 3 tumours ( lobular) and also had it in 8 lymph nodes.  I am pre menopause so that will by why I was not offered the Letrozole. My BC is oestrogen positive so I’ll be going on hormone treatment after my chemo  Ive just gotta have a full body scan, then will be cracking on with the chemo  ... View more
