It's so hard when you can't sleep and things keep going over and over in your head. There's not many people to talk to at this time of night. I've had such a rollercoaster over last few weeks. Initially diagnosed with dcis, that would be gone with mastectomy, to now having a large IDC with lymph nodes, and needing lymph node clearance, chemo, radiotherapy and hormone treatment. Hi, so had a mastectomy yesterday. Difficult day, but also was meant to be the end of it all. I found out I had positive lymph nodes. I'm a bit confused as I thought dcis was local and contained. I will speak to the breast nurses later but wondered if anyone had any experience of this? ... View more

I'm 44 just been diagnosed with estrogen and progesterone positive dcis grade 2. Waiting for results on Monday to see if it's HER positive and the size to decide on treatment. I was wondering if anyone has any reassurance for me really, and the chances of being triple positive. Many thanks ... View more
