Hi Annie, Thank you for your response. I must admit I wasn’t aware of the leakage of cells but I think from what the oncologist said it is another route that the cells can travel like through the lymph nodes. I did try to research it but there appears to be very little information on this. As mentioned to Gill I am back up at the breast clinic just before starting rads and will ask the consultant. Thank you for your reassurance too re the MDT. I like to know everything as I feel I cope better this way ie I take control but it can be a little tough sometimes. Will let you know what is said about nerves being affected and thank you for your kind wishes. With best wishes Don

Hi Gill, Thank you for your response. I now have my start date ie 4th June for rads. I do have another appointment with breast consultant though just before rads to discuss a continuing leak of fluid from my breast so will mention it there. All the best to you and hope you are feeling well after your rads? I have my prescription for Letrazole and a dental assessment next week so that I can start the bone meds (sorry forgot the name of them already). With best wishes Don

Just had my initial appointment to discuss rads which will be for 4 weeks including a boost week, and I am now awaiting my planning appointment. Had two wide local excisions in March for invasive cancer and DCIS. I am E.R. positive and scored 19 on the Oncotype test. Fortunately my lymph nodes are clear but at my recent rads meeting the consultant said my nerves were affected in my breast by the cancer and can spread via this way. He didn’t mention that this has happened but I will follow this up at my next appointment. Just wondered if anybody else has come across the issue of nerves being affected from the pathology results.
