I got dry eyes last October after one year and two months on Anastrozole. When it started to rain (I live in Northern California) the problem went away. Then a few weeks ago the problem returned. It's very dry now where I live. When I wear my glasses (I do not wear contact lenses) the problem is reduced probably because I am not straining my eyes which I would imagine adds insult to injury. I use eye drops called Refresh. It helps a bit. I will see an ophthalmologist on Tuesday to rule out any vision problems or allergies. So frustrating. I seem to get through one problem and another pops up.

Dear Marretje, Thank you so much for your kind and helpful remarks to my last question. I saw my GP today and she said my joint pain has to do with aging. I am 62. This is so frustrating because I know the Arimidex is playing a part in my joint and muscle pain. Would seeing a physical therapist be of any use in learning exercises to diminish these side effects? When I saw an occupational therapist a year ago because of trigger fingers and a wrist issue she helped tremendously. Thank you, Patricia

Hello, I am in my 24th month of Arimidex. Until now I have had only some joint pains in fingers and left wrist. Now I am getting pains in knees, ankles and right elbow. My joints crack too. I also feel some muscle pain. I don't know if some of this has to do with doing too much housework. It seems that housework and gardening create joint pain flare ups. The more yoga and walking I do helps. I am also taking 10mg daily of a statin. Could that be contributing to the problem. I can't get off this drug because Aromosin absolutely didn't work. Hello: I have been reading the comments by all the women re Herceptin and I am baffled. The only thing I had to do was have my heart checked every three months to see if it could withstand this strong drug. I had no side effects. I took it for one year every three weeks as was prescribed per my protocol. The chemo was what was so horrible and now I am finishing my second year of Arimidex and have to be careful about bone loss. The more I read the more I realize how complex all of this is. Patricia

Hello, I am am finishing my second year of Arimidex. I had 6 rounds of chemo in 2017. I get strange side effects when I am anxious, particularly with numbness in various parts of body (fingers, face and sometimes legs). Is it possible for side effects of chemo to pop up two years after finishing those treatments or am I just experiencing anxiety? When I don't think about it I don't feel anything. Thank you, Patricia

Good morning, I am finishing my second year of Arimidex. My fear is what all these drugs are doing to my body. I recently started feeling numbness in fingers. I have a neuropathy in toes after having 6 rounds of chemotherapy finishing in July 2017. Is this just anxiety? The calmer I am the less discomfort I feel. I am overwhelmed with all the exercises and self care I have to manage. Do you have any advice? Patricia
