Breast Cancer Now Forum

Hi I had a tumour and lymph node remove in July 2017 followed by radiotherapy. I’ve now been diagnosed with Paget’s disease and need a mastectomy. I had appointment with plastic surgeon on Thursday who said he would reconstruct my new boob from my tummy, I can’t have an implant because of radiotherapy, So I get a tummy tuck too! Wey hey! My breast nurse phoned me the following day and I was quite upbeat about it, I think it’s my way of coping, but she bought me down to earth, saying as long as you’re prepared for two lots of pain, but surely it’ll be painful wherever I have skin taken from?
