Hi Jan Have partly resolved the problem by now wearing my faithful old mastectomy bras, with original Contact "foob" (daughter's term) on the right, and a softie on left, the new side. Eventually I will have Contact both sides, but at least for the moment this seems to work. Couldn't wear the Contact at first as new scar comes into the area covered by it..and is also just under the bottom line of most of my bras...mutter, mutter..hence riding up of bra. Hey ho, if that's all I've got to complain about things can't be too bad! Sue

Just had second mastectomy...since first (DCIS) 14 years ago, I have been happily wearing a contact boob and mastectomy bras. After second a couple of weeks ago (Paget's, trust me to be awkward) I am wearing light weight prostheses on both sides, and there is nothing to stop my bra from riding up and ending up under my chin every time I raise an arm! Someone must have encountered this, any ideas out there ladies?? I'm only a 36A, and most long line bras don't come that small. I know I could go up a size or two, and be able to wear them then, but that means my clothes will be tight...

Hi, sorry you feel so alone.....what treatment are you going to have? I had DCIS 14 years ago, and opted for mastectomy. I did go private, as I had insurance, and in those days the NHS didn't respond as quickly as they do now, and I didn't want to hang around. Having recently been referred back again, (different type of BC this time, just to be difficult..) the system is much slicker, but I can see that this feel rushed if it is all a new experience. How are you feeling about it all now? Sue
