Hi everyone,  Kidney stones Wolvesgirl?! Sounds uncomfortable, I hope you get them sorted soon... glad everything else is ok, you are so right, this time last year was so hard, gruelling even...I have a friend going through chemo at the minute and it does bring it all back... Im now back at work, albeit in the office on restricted duties. I have been off shielding all this time as they told me to (I work in a Prison) I’m glad to be back and getting back to some normality at last, the shielding made me still feel like I was Ill really!! I have lots of pains in my joints after chemo, especially hips knees and fingers..anyone else??? Other than that, I have had a clear mammogram and have a follow up appointment with the nurses in October which was unexpected but welcomed!!! Hope you are all well..... Hi everyone, it feels like ages since I have been on here probably isn’t that long but sometimes days feel like weeks.  My last chemotherapy was meant to be the 14th January but it ended up being the 31st December. I had to go into hospital on Boxing Day as I had a temperature of 39.1 . My bloods apparently showed my infection markers were quite high and I was given 3 different lots of iv antibiotics and after 7 hours was sent home as my temperature was normal. 5 days later on the 31st my bloods showed my infection markers were still high but because I didn’t have a temperature I was given chemotherapy and I ended up catching the flu which meant I never got the last 2 of my weekly chemotherapy. I’ve now seen my surgeon and I have an appointment with a plastic surgeon for mastectomy/reconstruction using my own tissue. Has anyone else had this procedure. I get so anxious over many things, the aches I feel in my rib cage on one side, the cramp like feelings I get in one of my legs. I just feel so scared about everything  ... View more

Hello Deb,   the ladies before me have given you lots of great advice.  I was diagnosed in April 2018, had mastectomy, chemo, node clearance and radiotherapy and now on Tamoxifen.   Feeling good, life back to normal, working full time again now, yes I'm stiff and achy and still riding the rollercoaster of emotions but you'll get there.  As soon as you have a pathway for treatment find the appropriate pages in "going through treatment" whether surgery, chemo, rads etc and you will link up a group going through it with you.  Its the best support ever as you can share experiences and fully understand each other. Hi Ladies, I’m Samantha from Rayleigh, Essex. I have two children. I will be one of the oldest too, turning 45 at Christmas. I was diagnosed in January this year with grade 3, ER+ and PR+ invasive ductal carcinoma, 3 tumours in left breast with one in lymph. Ive had a mastectomy with immediate DIEP and full nodal clearance. I’ve just started to develop signs of lymphodema so wear a sleeve on and off. I then had chemo (EC and Paclitaxcel) and finished radiotherapy 2weeks ago. Set to go on Tamoxifen and injections for 5 years. Attending with two friends.
