Hi Em, I’m on tamoxifen too and struggling with fatigue, hot flushes and aches & pains. I went back to work full line in July but I have had to speak to my employer and temporarily dropped my working hours in half due to the fatigue, I work 2x12 hour days & 2 x 12 hour nights, these have been changed to 6 hour shifts, so will see how they go x ... Congratulations cherry this is fabulous news. I’ve had my radiotherapy planning appointment, my start date is 29th April, need 20 sessions ( 5 of which will be boost sessions) I’ve started my tamoxifen, had a little heartburn so far, not sure if this is a side effect. Hi ladies how are we all doing? Guessing we’re all in 12 week isolation at the minute. How is everyone coping & managing to stay sane?. In other news had my lumpectomy 2 weeks ago and 2 lymph nodes removed, got my results back yesterday’s and it was good news, no cancer found at all, clear margins - al tough as the chemo was it had done it’s job 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Radiotherapy to complete now apparently it will be condensed into one week rather that 3 (I’ll just get a triple dose each day) then I’m going to be on tamoxifen for 10 years. Hi everyone, just wondering how everyone is doing? Where is everyone upto? I’ve just had my last mri results following chemo completion and my dr was very pleased that there is no sign of cancer on the mri (lump has gone) do I’m booked in for a lumpectomy on 9th March to remove surrounding tissue, then in April will start 3 weeks of radiation. Hi    just wondering how everyone is getting on. It’s been quiet in here since Xmas. Hope that means your all getting through treatment with not too many side effects!! I meet with my surgeon Thursday to discuss mri I had last week &. Arrange surgery date for end of feb. Final Docetaxel chemo on 7th February. Can’t wait to see the back of chemo. I had my 4th cycle last week. First 3 were FEC which made me feel sick and a little tired for a few days after. 4th session was the T (Docetaxel) and I have had no sickness but my energy has been wiped out & heart is racing just climbing the stairs. I thought it was days 10-13 but I may be wrong, hope your chest infection improves. I’ve had a cough for weeks, just get rid of it the week before chemo, then it comes back straight after chemo 😫 ... View more

Emzlew I want one for being out and about really, I’ve bought lots of hats and scarfs in preparation. I’m going to “glamorous butterfly” in Cumbria for a wig fitting etc, so I’ll see how it goes on Tuesday. Glad your second round went smoother, I have my second round next Friday 15th, had my sickness meds adjusted so hopefully that will help 😬. I’m off for a marker fitted to my lump this afternoon x ... First fec on friday gone, chemo nurses were lovely and it went without a hitch, got home at lunchtime, from 4pm felt really sick and was sick several times and temperature playing up so off to A&E. white blood cells in blood were raised so put onto antibiotics and given new anti sickness jab, which worked 🙌🏻🙌🏻👏👏. Saturday was just really tired little sickness feeling, but felt wiped out washing a sink of dishes. Had a bath and spent most of the day in bed. This morning feeling ok, hardly managed any food from friday, just smoothies/yoghurts  & half a slice of toast. Going to try and go to watch my son athletics training at lunch, just sitting and getting some fresh air. Saying that my stomach may have other ideas as I have a lot of rumbling going on and diarrhoea 🙈🙈 sorry TMI. Was everyone else similar after there first dec session? Hope you are all getting there. That’s great Claire, glad your side effects are a bit more settled this time.   my nurse called earlier with my mri results, no additional concerns from the mri, just the one lump we knew about, which has now grown a few more millimetres (which I knew as I could feel it was a little bigger) it’s now just over 2cm. So pleased it hasn’t spread and lymph nodes are ok! Picc line on Thursday then chemo session 1 on Friday x ... View more
