Many thanks for your reply. I'm on goserelin too since March but no-one has mentioned a blood test for liver function every 4 months :0. Luckily I have an appointment with a nurse tomorrow so I will follow up with it.

Hi all, What kind of follow up scans (and how often) have you been offered after BC diagnosis? Do you monitor ovaries, brain, colon, lungs on regular basis for signs of mets? So far I found that a year after surgery there is a mammogram. Anything else? And how about younger women - do they replace mammogram with MRI? Is GP entitled to prescribe some regular test like blood test for liver function? I am considering paying for some scans/test privately but not sure what to opt for. Thanks for sharing!

Hi 👋 I also take tamoxifen every morning ( since March) but I don't feel nauseated. I experience more ocular side effects - dry eyes, blurred vision and I find it a bit hard to work.

Hi Hope123, On my last visit I said I'm worried about my bones health and doctor suggested Daxa scan. So I will get one soon. But as I understand this drug should be added immediately after the primary treatment and without and additional investigation into bones as it also lowers the risk of cancer recurrence. A bit worried now that if the dexa scan is ok they will not prescribe the drug.

hi ladies, are you also having zoladronic acid as a part of the hormone treatment [ tamoxifen + zoladex]? I found this on the other forum but one one from my team mention this drug to me 😕 So because of my age (43) they want to push me into early menopause because my cancer was oestrogen fed and this will stop the oestrogen being produced. Hi ladies, I had LICAP surgery in December. At the beginning i didn't know what to expect as they didn't use the term "immediate reconstruction". The things were moving forward quickly so I didn't have time to research and think. But right after the surgery I knew I won the lottery - the result is just awesome. And I really like the scar on the side. This is true that information on Licap is hard to get, I wish I could have seen this thread earlier 😉 . I found that sometimes they call it "hidden scar lumpectomy". https://youtu.be/DWSISuHttXg I'm cup 34B. Really recommend a compression post op bra though I bought one in my normal sizing and couldn't fit in for the first 2 weeks ( 3 rows eye and hook front closure). I tried some soft cotton bras instead ( as the skin was sensitive) but I think it caused seroma under the flap after all. Good to prepare more than one bra option. 👌 Stay positive! X

Hi, Thanks for sharing your experience. I haven't started hormone therapy yet. I'm getting the injection on Wednesday and tamoxifen when is ready to pick up. Also have a covid jab on Friday. Slightly worried now that this plan could be too intense for my body... The radiotherapy is scheduled for end of March. I'm also 43 diagnosed in Nov 2020. Take care x
