Hi Ladies Just wondering what you would do, my next chemo is due on the 24th Sept and I’m due to go on holiday on the 27th, originally it would of been on my good week but chemo was pushed back after session 1, I’m going away with my hubby, sister n brother in law, my sister has stage 4 palletive care only, I really want to enjoy the holiday as it might be the last one we have, but I hope it won’t be, I’m thinking of asking if my treatment can be delayed for a week, do you think this is a wise thing to do, or should I just have my treatment n not be able to enjoy the week away, I’m having quite an emotional week this week my first since diagnosis,  ... Louise, so sorry you have a rough patch, but glad they got you moved to the right hospital, and it’s fantastic news about the genes for your family,  i seem to feel rough for about 5 days then weak n tired for the next 4 days, I have some breathlessness and dizzy spells, but after day 10 I feel so much better, my next session is this Friday and I booked on a Breeze Ride today and thought I would just go half way n get the hubby to pick me up, but I felt really good today n managed 29.5 miles, it’s works wonders for my mental health n I feel like I’m back in control, now time for a nice shower n PJs hubby has gone to work away till Friday so I can just chillax, glad some of you had an extra of feel good of  n hope all goes ok for you tomorrow, take care all, we’re all getting closer to the next stages, we’ve done good, xx ... Hi Ladies sorry I’ve been missing, I couldn’t get on for some reason it kept saying my password was wrong, so sorry to hear some of you are having one nasty side effects, since my treatment leaves have been reduced after the really nasty infection I had the first time I’m coping much better, just really fatigued n bloat for the first 5 days but then get back to a fairly manageable routine, love the the wig from amazon n what great value and it looks good too, could someone please share the feel good look better link again, I want to pass it to a lady at the hospital, halfway there now 3 done n 3 to o, got a meeting on 20th Sept to talk about radiotherapy Treatment plan, hope we can all make the best of the next round of nice weather that’s meant to becoming our way,  and that some of you manage to get away again, let’s pray for better days for all us us xx ... Mum2boys, you are doing everything you should be doing, if your body tells you to rest then that’s just what you should do, so sorry you have had sickness have you asked them to change your anti sickness meds, I was so Ill when I had this 13 years ago but the team were amazing and did everything they could to help me, your doing amazing homeschooling your boys I bet that can’t be easy, it’s great to have a good support network, Day 6 on second dose and I’m feeling pretty good this time, I’m even hoping to meet friends on Saturday at a lovely cafe, but might not be up to the bike ride so may go in the car, or get hubby to drop me off and I will just cycle the 16 miles home, I’ll see how I feel on Sat,  ... chynadol, so sorry you have been dealt this awful card at such a young age, I did my second round last Friday, and tonight I am feeling a bit more normal after having a very tired day today, did you do the cold cap, I’m very I’m very fortunate that my doctor just signed me on the sick once I was diagnosed, but luckily I get full pay for 6 month, then half pay for another 6, I just don’t think my brain is in the right place to continue working, a lot of my work is memory related, take care and this is such a good group for any support you need, x ... hi Louise, not been too bad so far, just got a very sore head with lots of little blisters, my hairdresser has given me some cream that is really helping, I have been so tired today n had a couple of dizzy spells, also not got much of an appetite just cereal for brekkie, cheese n crackers for lunch n soup for dinner, but still trying to drink lots, hope everyone else is ok, it sounds ideal to be away n relaxing, take it easy everyone xx ... Louise, my appointment was 12:30 and they hooked me up at 1 pm, I took lunch with me as I needed to take my steroids, the treatment was so much easier with the pic line and so much quicker too, my bloods were all good, I was out of there for 3 pm and felt really good, hubby took me to Maccies for a celebration McFlurry, 😋😋🥰 then I even went shopping because I fancied a noodle dish for my dinner, these steroids really give me an appetite, I came home n cooked n really enjoyed dinner, feeling very tired but awake at the same time, it’s such a weird feeling but I’m hoping to get some sleep tonight because last night I only had about 3 hrs, let’s hope the next few days are good to us, n I hope we both get some sleep xx ... Yvonne,  so sorry you’ve been having such a tough time, is there any chance you could ask for a Picc Line to be fitted to easy with getting bloods and giving treatments, they have fitted me one after all the trouble they had getting candles in, have a lovely weekend and try to relax, hope the weather holds out for you, GonnaGetThruThis Fantastic news, I’m so happy for you,  @hopeful1974  really hope you managed to enjoy your holiday and this week hasn’t been to bad for you, I’m also on steroids, 4 tabs morning n lunch time Starting the day before chemo and continue for 3 days, hence last night I couldn’t sleep only managed about 3 hrs, last time after 3 days I took amittriptyline to help me sleep, and it really helped. @Fairie hope things are improving for you, always contact the team for help, that’s what they are there for, and they want you to call them,  @Flower123  so sorry to hear about your awful bone pain and so glad you was given some morphine to ease the pain, I hope it has now passed,  @Louise65  hope all goes well for you today, what time is your appointment, mine is 12:30, let’s hope with have a good week with little side effects this time,  wishing everyone else a good weekend and pain n sickness free days,  ... Aw Yvonne, so sorry to hear things have not been so good for you, I hope upping your fluid intake will help with the next kidney tests, so sorry you’ve had awful nausea too I hope that will now improve as time goes on, Morgan’s in Chester are so nice, she ordered me some in that I liked in different colours, I only tried the white one on as a joke but actually loved it, I also went to the shop in Prestatyn as they hold different stock, just try and take it easy and don’t push yourself to hard, but with this heat remember to keep drinking plenty, we want you at home not in hospital, xx ... hi hopeful, I really hope your reaction to chemo this week is as good as your last one, but as you are in a private house at least you can take yourself off to rest whenever it’s needed, and I hope you will all have a wonderful time away, I got out on the bike yesterday for 24 miles, and I’m also hoping to get out tomorrow, the fact he has delayed my treatment by 1 week has really benefited me, and I’m hoping I will be as good after the chemo as I was last time, no sickness, have a good week everyone and make the most of this nice weather,  ... Hi Hopeful this wig is so much lighter than. The one I had 13 years ago, I have had gel polish put on my fingers n toes in a dark shade, and so far so good, I also put a lot of moisturiser on my hands n feet before bed n wear socks n gloves n so far my hands n feet are really good, my own hair was very thick and I often got complimented on it so I was devastated to lose it again, I’m planning on going for a ride tomorrow with my sister n some friends my first ride since 27th June, but I will put lots of sunscreen on, don’t want to get burnt, glad you had a nice day n a pleasant chat to pass the time away xx ... Glad everyone seams to be coping ok moving forward with the treatments, I think having done the first one we at least know what’s coming at us, I went for my wig today in Chester with my Sister,  then had a lovely walk along the groves to the Boathouse Pub, silly me I thought I would be able to get a drink, but no because I hadn’t booked we couldn’t get a drink, so we ended up at the lovely Moorings Cafe with a lovely Old Moot Fruit Cider, my Picc Line has settled down and stopped bleeding, but I’m going to nip to the ward on Monday when the Picc Line Nurse Practitioner is on duty, I’ve done more steps today than I’ve done in the past 2 weeks, but it was such a lovely day along the river, a lady in the cafe complimented me on my top and her friend said I just love your hair the cut is great and she wanted to know where I’d had it done, I felt fantastic as this was my first time out in the in wig, when I told her she said she was shocked, the bottom one was my natural hair, middle how I look now, n top one is one of the wigs I bought,  ... Hi Ladies,  reading the posts I realise that I have nothing written in my book regarding my diagnosis, so I might ask for this to be added, for those having treatments tomorrow I hope it goes well I’m sorry I won’t be joining you, as my treatment has been delayed by 1 week, and I am feeling really good at the moment, had a lovely day out with the hubby to Llandudno, then been to have a lovely manicure n pedicure, I had a Picc Line fitted on Tuesday, it bled quite a bit on Wednesday morning, but the district nurse changed the dressing and it appeared to stop, then it bled a bit more last night, dressing changed again this morning and it flushed well, but I’ve just noticed it’s been bleeding again, I have applied pressure, did any of you ladies have this occur when you had a line fitted, I might just phone the ward in the morning, she had a nightmare finding this vein, I really hope I won’t have to have it redone but in my bad ar,,  ... Jennifer, what a pretty headscarf you have on, my hair is shedding everywhere hubby said I’m worse than the dogs, but I have just cut it all close to my head with scissors, think I will be getting the graders on it later, I’ve booked on for the make up class, and did go to boots yesterday and bought a very bold lipstick and a special brush for drawing my eyebrows on, were all walking this journey together and it’s so good to hear how positive we are, enjoy the weekend and the football xx ... Hi Ladies i feel I have missed so much, I can see there’s been a wedding so many congratulations, a scary incident with dogs n a van man so glad you got home safe with your babies, glad to hear so many of you are doing ok and managing the treatments well, as you know I was doing brilliant n even managed a bike ride on day 3, well day 5 I had a temp n had to go to the cancer ward, they gave me an IV of antibiotics n paracetamol and sent me home 3 hrs later, n said only call if my temp went above 38, day 6 I hovered all day at 37.9 n 38, but on Thursday it went crazy n up to 40.3, I was advised to go to AnE as there was no doctor on the ward, AnE fast tracked me through to majors n had a nightmare finding veins to get bloods, but they finally did then they put me on fluid drips, I was on a trolley for 10 hrs then a nurse swapped the trolley for a bed, at 8 am a doctor came to say my neutrophil level was 0.1 and I could not leave the room and they brought me a commode in, and they would try and get me moved to the cancer ward, they started me on more antibiotics and instantly I started being sick, 🤮🤮 then the severe trots 💩💩💩 started so embarrassing, at 8pm they moved me to the ward, they took a stool sample n it turned out I have C Diff infection, I’ve been visited by Infectious Disease Control and told that I must always declare this if ever they want to give me antibiotics again, as that’s what’s caused the problem, and here was I thinking the Chemo was going to make me ill, well it’s now Tuesday and I’m still in hospital, all my birthday cards n presents are still at home, hubby is not allowed in and I’m still confined to my room, but I now have an en suite and a window, the staff have all been wonderful, and my hubby has been a star, bless he couldn’t keep up with the demand for fresh pants n pjs, so he went to Asda n bought me 12 pairs of pants n 5 new pj sets, things have now settled down and in myself I feel really well, just hoping my bloods show good results tomorrow, my Onc came to see me today but wouldn’t come in my room, he is delaying my next treatment by 1 week so I can have a weeks rest when I get home, he’s also going to reduce the doseage, my hair is falling out quite fast now, I’m shedding worse than my dog, 😂 but hopefully I may get home in another 48 hrs, sorry for such a long saga, hubby only brought me in my I Pad today as I didn’t feel up to logging on any earlier, I hope none of you ever have to experience C Diff         ... Hopeful, thanks for the nice comment, I feel getting out and doing normal things gives us a sense of being more in control of our bodies than the dreaded C, I hope you continue to have a good week until the next session, you do appear young to have got this without any family history, I was just 50 the first time and 63 this time, but lots of history in my family, hope everyone else is managing ok,  ...
