Breast Cancer Now Forum

I went to Winchester when we walked the Southdowns Way in 2021. It was lovely to see it again. The area around the Cathedral is so lovely. A friend of mine has moved to Chichester and that has another wonderful Cathedral area too. I hope the chemo goes well. From what I hear they are better at doing it now than when I was first diagnosed in 2003 but I am lucky that I have been told both times this time and the time before that chemo isn’t going to help my kind of breast cancer.  Seagulls ... Hi @justine1970, I had my op in December. I have to say it wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting it to be. I really hope all goes well for you today, and you will be back home very soon. Just make sure you have some help for the first couple of weeks, I found it hard not being able to bend down and remembering not to lift heavy things!  ... View more

Hi Bee1234 I also didn’t tell my family and friends at the beginning but mainly because I was waiting for further results and plan of action, didn’t want to worry them too early in the process. But family are your line of support, there’s no easy way to react to these sort of things but maybe you can let them know how much you want them fuss over (agree with others their reaction can be much 😊 ). We need all the support to help us through these difficult times.
