Breast Cancer Now Forum

Hi, I am 52 and was diagnosed with DCIS after a routine mammogram in May 2021. No node involvement. I had a lumpectomy followed by 15 sessions of radiotherapy finishing 3 weeks ago.  I work as a nurse in a hospice and haven’t returned to work yet. I have burning/ shooting and squeezing pain from radiotherapy. I have  2 girls away at uni and am not sure how they are coping . They seem quite dismissive as if it was cut out so now all gone.
