Hi, it's such a rollercoaster. My consultant said lump felt about 3cm, mammogram said 1.8cm, scan said 3.4cm so she arranged mri and it confirmed 3.4cm but with abormalities around it. It was such a shock when histology came back 12cm and 7 lymph nodes. I have had EC x3 so far and not been as bad as I thought. I found the 4/5 days straight after to be the worst time with nausea. Starting Docetaxel x3 on 19th, consultant said I might have more side affects with that. I have been using cold cap and it seems to be working so far, only lost about 20% of hair and not very noticeable at the moment xx

Hi, anyone with stage 3? I have not been told my stage but have worked it out. Had mastectomy in October and axillary clearance. It was only on histology the trur extent of cancer became apparent - 12cm and 7 out 14 lymph nodes, mammogram, ultrasound and mri didn't not show the extent. Half way througy chemo and will have radio and tamoxifen. Just wondering if anyone else have similar diagnosis and reassurance. Many thanks x

Thank you. It's the not knowing and the endless investigations that I find difficult, as they always bring up another hurdle x

Hi, new to this forum. Diagnosed 5 weeks ago with idc with dcis. I was originally going to have lumpectomy and reduction but MRI scan showed larger area of dcis and abnormal lymph nodes. Been such a rollercoaster over last 5 weeks. Had right mastectomy on Friday with axillary clearance. I have bone scan and ct scan this week and then will know what further treatment is planned. I am trying to stay positive but it is so hard
