Hi there, It was fine i coped well just tiredness, so rested when could i think just over thinked all when treatment plan changed but it wasnt that bad at all. I am doing well, on a chemo tablet now which managing well. Sending love X

Sorry for delay in reply busy Summer holidays. I am ok i finish next Mon not feeling to bad has been tiring having children home and busy busy. Today noticed redness around the area so will cream more than i have been. I have a meeting on Thur about returning to work next Mon for 2hrs a day they are understanding and have said will go with what ever works for me so will take it nice and slow break my self in slowly as being a nursery nurse its full on. Hi ladies I am due to start radio 23rd Aug for 15 sessions finishing 12th Sept. I wondered how ypu coped with side effects and returning to work? I have been signed off since Nov and begining to get abit bored thinking of returning several days a week doing short hours (nursery nurse) wondering if i am being abit optimistic. I coped well with little side effects from 12 weeks of chemo. Any advise would be appreciated. Many thanks

I have my last chemo next Wed and then planning meeting for Radio on 3rd Aug wondering how long people have had to wait from planning meeting to starting Radio i guess its different for all areas. Also side effects you experianced i have 3 weeks 5 days a week so 15 sessions, i am currently moisturising 3 times a day when remember. Hoping i get a few weeks of the summer holidays to enjoy with the children ages 7yr and 4yrs. Thanks Xx

Hi, Has anyone had to have blood transfusion due to iron levels being low while having chemo? My iron has been low for several weeks i had an iron transfusion 2 weeks ago but still low when had bloods done yesterday so now may have blood transfusion tomorrow as well as treatment. Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks X

Had my first infusion of Zoledronic Acid yesterday after Taxol and they were right flu like symptons woke this morning shivering cold i cant get warm. Took my self back to bed pjs, bed socks, duvet, water bottle still shivering. Am hoping its just 2 days it lasts for like they suggested. Luckly youngest is away with Hubby and oldest is off out for a play as i think day in bed for me today which is a shame a ment to be 21 here. Hope your all well

Thank you for your responce I havnt yet been prescribed it, have had 4 cycle of EC every 2 weeks and yesterday had 3rd cycle Paclitaxol all going well. Oncologist calling Mon so i giess he will mention it then as Vitamin D levels were low. Take care Mel X

Ok thank you for your reply, is peace of mind its not to bad having that infusion too. How often do you have it? I havnt yet been prescribed it as waiting for my Vitamin D levels to rise. Thank you

Hi Ladies, I had mastectomy followed by implant reconstruction in Jan all recovered well. I am after recommendations of a decent bra please i have brought several but feel they either dont give support like my old bras before surgery or dont pull me in enough as i can feel i have the inplant when move my arm in and out which makes me think need bar good support pull me in abit so i wont be able to feel it, I am due to have surgery the other side later this year so maybe the consultant will go slightly bigger for both side to filll the space as do think needs to be abit bigger as have a gap when feel chest althou when push inplant round it fills 🤷♀️🤷♀️. I dont want to keep spending out as i may need to buy new after surgery again later in the year.

Early morning thoughts... Experiences and side effects weekly paclitaxel every 3rd week caboplatmin Moving on to my next 12 treatments being weekly paclitaxel with every 3rd week carboplatmin Heard paclitaxel is manageable than EC which just completed 4 cycles its back to the unknow of how will cope 🙈 sure oncologyist said carboplatmin is harsher but have no idea. Know we are stronger than we think and will find ways of coping bit any tips feedback of how your coping or coped will be good to know.

I have just ordered the polybalm to try as have been painting them but i think the further i go along with treatments this may not help and will make nails weak wtih nail varnish remover althou i dont use alot. X

I can't help with the temp as i have seemed to be ok through mine althou do suffer from hot flushes due to being put into early menopause so i use my judgement is it hot flush or a temp from chemo after stripping a layer i cool down and temp doesnt rise. Best to get it checked out poss a call to triage to check. With nails i was told to paint a dark colour to block out the light i was one for always having gel on my nails as makes me feel better however since diagnoses ive just had a dark purple on both toes and fingers yet to redo so will be able to see if i have white lines from chemo or any dark patches. All in good condition so far just finished 4 cycle of EC moving on to weekly paclitexal. Hope this helps Sending love Mel X

Its all the unknow of what happens on the day and side effects but i found it went alot more smoothly than expected and wasn't anything to worry about. I am having 4x EC then weekly paclitaxel, my last EC is this Sat. Take all medication before you go, drink plenty to flush through day before chemo and day of and day after i normally try and drink alot 🙈. On my first EC i was fine the day of having chemo untill the evening then i got a foggy head like been out drinking, having a lay down helped, felt abit wobbly too. Side effects have been managable currently have 2 ulcers this time round hoping there clear up by Sat. I hope all goes well, sending love

Hi Nicky, I suffered abit after 2nd cycle with Acid and spoke to my Dr who prescribed this Peptac liquid peppermint (Teva UK Ltd) i use when needed and seems to do the trick especially at night.
