Hi @eeyore58 Sorry to hear that you are having such a difficult time. I wonder if you might find people who have had treatment stopped on other forums. It looks like most of us here are fairly early on in our cycles. I hope that you find someone as it just helps to not feel so alone. Sending hugs.

Thank you for your post.
Being told you have secondary (metastatic) , or stage 4 breast cancer can be completely overwhelming. It can be hard to know what to think, where to turn to for support, and even harder to find anyone who really understands what it feels like to live with the diagnosis.
It’s not possible for us to say how long you will live with this.
Secondary breast cancer in the bone is no longer curable but is treatable. Your treatment team will discuss the best treatments for you in the long term.
We provide a number of different services for people living with secondary breast cancer aimed at providing both information and support.
Our helpline team are here for anyone diagnosed with secondary breast cancer. They have time to listen to your concerns, talk things through and/or signpost you to more support and/or information.
At times like this, some people find it helpful to talk with others who are going through a similar experience.
We have a secondary breast cancer online discussion forum for sharing information and support. There is also a weekly Live chat session which runs on Tuesdays at 8.30-9.30pm.
Both services allow people to talk over their experiences and offer support to each other.
Virtual group support services
Our Living with Secondary Breast Cancer Online programme and virtual meetings enable you to access specialist information and share experiences, understanding and support with people who are also dealing with the uncertainty and challenges that secondary breast cancer brings.
The virtual meetings are relaxed and offer time to talk about what’s on your mind with others who understand, in a safe confidential space with a group of around six to 12 people.
To register for the online programme, virtual meetings, or both complete our online registration form.
Alternatively, if you have any questions about the programme or virtual meetings you can contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0345 077 1893.
Face to face group support services
Our face to face Living with Secondary Breast Cancer monthly sessions also give you the chance to meet and share experiences with other people who understand what you’re going through because they’re going through it too.
In a safe and relaxed environment, our regular sessions provide information about all aspects of living with the disease, as well as the chance to meet and talk openly with other people with the same diagnosis.
Held in various locations across the UK each support session is led by a qualified therapist with group facilitation skills and relevant counselling experience.
People are welcome to attend as few or as many sessions as they wish. Refreshments (including lunch at longer sessions) are provided. You can search for current locations dates on the above link or call 0345 077 1893 for more information.
Do call our Helpline if you would like to talk this through or have any further questions. Your call will be confidential, and the number is free from UK landlines and all mobile networks. The number is 0808 800 6000, ( Relay UK -prefix 18001).
If you would like a nurse to call you do complete this form. Ticking the box agreeing to a call back.
Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm and 9am -1pm on Saturday. Out of hours you can leave a message and we will call you back when we next open.
