Guys and St Thomas’s my date is through 22/11, still long for me, but breast team work with the plastic team who do some micro surgery which reduces lymphoedema by 50%. So basically the two teams work together. I think that’s why its long. I’ve ask for a cancellation if one comes up x

@Seagulls No I haven’t heard a thing. 😞 My brain is recovering from that news now and part of me is now in denial and part am I sitting duck. I have chased almost daily for two weeks and no one has even acknowledged me. I’ve had really good communication up till now. I’m visiting the hospital today for a wound check so I’m going to make myself busy and get to speak to someone as is over two weeks now! makes you wonder how urgent is it, do they even need to do it! ill update you. hope your surgery goes well sorry you have to do it again. Xx

Hi Having going through BC, chemo and surgery now waiting for further surgery to remove more lymph nodes. I wanted to ask thoughts on alcohol…. Im a social drinker as in out for dinner parties or Holidays, I’m need a more understanding around drinking on these occasions is it ok, and what do you all do? for example Dinner share a bottle of wine Parties can stick to the 5 units recommendation Holidays there’s generally more drinking going on! please share, your thoughts and guidance very grateful xx

Fingers crossed for you xx @Seagulls i also feel at a loss with food/diet and alcohol, feel like I shouldn’t eat this or that and no drinking, dos and donuts 🤷‍ ♀️ just feel very broken at the moment. 😔 I am a positive person but just need to get my life back on track…….. mentally struggling right now 😞

Hi ive just had a mastectomy reconstruction ( I had enough fat ☺️) It is an anxious time. But If you have been given the opportunity to meet the new surgeon then take it, put you mind at ease. You will be in safe hands they all do an amazing job. good luck xx

Hi I was diagnosed with grade three breast cancer in Jan 2022. Lump in breast and one lymph node found. march till Aug under went chemo just had surgery full left breast mastectomy and reconstruction as well as lymph removed. Follow up appointment today with results 😞 was told the main lymph that had the cancer still had cancer but the two either side that was removed were clear, but a decision was made to have a full lymph removal. I now have to have further surgery for this, and just pray that all the lymph nodes that are removed will be clear?? im at a loss atm I feel scared that it’s not gone, will I survive, will it kill me!! 😭 😭 feeling very low 😟

Hi Second cycle off EC, dramatic change in hair loss now :-(. Feel stripped of my identity. Any recommendations of real wig specialists known off in my local area? London south east? Scarfs v Hats finding the right one to make me feel ok......... Oh what a dilemma. Love xx

Thanks, I have made the decision to go, I have had the green light form my oncologist and CNS nurse, I would of only hade one chemo session before I go, with over a week recovery. I'm just advised to be careful of infection. I'm covered by insurance and Tui. What is also a relief. This will probably the last time I fly this year because of the situation so thought best to go why I'm at my healthiest. Hope your all ok. x

HI I'm new to this. I was diagnosed with stage 3 BC on the 25/1, and one lymph node 😞 I was told yesterday that my bone scan and CT scan is all clear and its isolated, however the MRI showed signs of DCIS, I have had a further US and biopsy's taken. feeling a mental numb at the moment as I got the bomb of a possible mastectomy. I have a strong support network around me but felt the need to talk to like minded souls. My chemo should be starting next week or the week after I will find out Thursday. I'm under Guys and what an amazing hospital that is. I have a dilemma I need advice to help me make a decision. I had a holiday booked for over a year to travel to Cape Verde at the end of March the oncologist has left the decision with me if to go or not. I will have had, probably two rounds of chemo before I travel. I will inform the travel insurance. Question should I still go and thoughts? Thanks Deb x
