@trudy2010  Hi, thank you for your response. Do you feel like it was a bad sunburn with a lot of redness or mild and that caused the reaction? Hi @delly  I read your post and it was very informative. I am curious as to the sunburn..what happens with that? Is it for that arm only? Is it okay to get sun, as long as you do not get burned? I'm 47 and after my lumpectomy have not done any other treatment. I was diagnosed in Jan with IDC and DCIS, stage 1, grade 1 with an Oncotype score of 16. I am having an oophorectomy and hysterectomy instead of taking the Tamoxifen. My oncologist said I would be given the standard dose of 20mg, when I asked about lower doses. I have always reacted strongly to meds when given a standard dose. I decided to speak with my GYN to see his recommendations. Since I had done fertility treatments in my late 20's and had hyperstimulated. I read that was a possibility with Tamoxifen while my doctor didn't seem to think that was necessarily a side effect he did say I was at a higher risk of ovarian cancer bc of the hyperstimulation. He verified with my oncologist that oophorectomy was an acceptable option for me instead of taking the Tamoxifen.  I hope you make the best decision for you. Hi, I came across your post from a Google search. Did your rash clear up? How long did it last, did they ever figure out what it is/was. I had a little redness on my aerola, after putting hydrocortisone cream on it it got worse (I got over-heated and was wearing a nursing pad- think I had a reaction to that) and became a rash and spread. Surgeon recommended lotrimin and while it's not gone has significantly improved. I go back in two weeks and he'll determine if I need a biopsy. Did you do a biopsy? I had a biopsy in Dec 2021, after an abnormal mammogram, which came back normal, but the images didn't match the findings so was recommended to a surgeon. Had a lumpectomy on 1/5/22, came back positive for stage 1 grade 1 DCIS & IDC, had second surgery on 1/19/22 for not tissue removal and 3 lymphnodes. All clear with clear margins. I have a seroma near the incision site (trauma 3 times I assume is the reason) which is on the side of my breast not my aerola area. I also googled and it's freaked me out. Surgeon says it doesn't look like IBC, I've seen him 3 times for it and am going back in 2 weeks.  Thank you for taking the time to read this.  ... View more
