I am 65. Finished surgery and radiation last year and have taken Letrozole for 1 year. I feel like an irritable old woman. My skin, my hair, my joints and my mood have deteriorated significantly. I’ve discovered MDs don’t want to hear about the downsides. I guess because either you take it to try to prevent recurrence or you don’t and chances of recurrence are greater. Since they can’t mitigate the side effects the conversation is about who you can see to help. You’d still look and feel old but maybe with the right psychiatric meds you won’t care as much. Geeze.
