Hello, I just started my first cycle of TCHP for triple positive breast cancer on July 18. Im 32, so premenopausal and have always had pretty regular periods. I’ve had a range of side effects with chemo, mostly mild, including GI issues, acne, and dry skin. I got my period at my normal time on July 22 and it lasted about 4 days, which is common. Last night, I started experiencing some heavy spotting, enough that I need to wear a tampon. I plan to talk to my Onco on Monday but with the weekend im getting worried. Is this common for premenopausal women starting chemo? My scan showed I was a weird thing on my ovary that they are pretty sure is a cyst but I’m kind of freaking out wondering if it’s metastasized there (I do have bone mets). Thank you

I’m 32 and I was just diagnosed with triple positive, grade 2 IDC. I just got a PET/CT which showed that I likely have 2 metastases on my spine. Is there any hope for me? I can’t believe this is happening. I feel like my life just started. They just posted my results online without having anyone to talk to about it.

Hey all, I don’t know what I’m doing but I guess I’m just sending this somewhere or putting it somewhere. I’m 32 and I was just diagnosed with IDC, grade 2, triple positive breast cancer. I have about a 2.5 cm tumor and then a few really small satellite tumors around it. I know it’s in my lymph nodes, but my breast surgeon just didn’t really give me a lot of specifics about my imaging. She’s recommending chemo first and I’m meeting with a medical oncologist next week and getting all the scans to see if it’s somewhere else in my body. She said it’s in “at least one lymph node”, and used the word “aggressive” a lot, but that they’ve had some really promising results “even with tumors like mine”. I’m terrified. I just got married to the most perfect person. I was training for a triathlon. I feel like I’m still a child and I have no idea what I’m doing. I’m so scared thats it’s all over my body. I just want this part to be over.

Hey love, not sure if this helps any but I’m pretty much at the same place you are right now. Im 32 and was just diagnosed triple positive with some spread to my lymph nodes. Awaiting all of my scans next week, which is completely crippling and absolutely agonizing. Im trying to remember it is standard with lymph node spread, and it’s rare to be diagnosed with distant spread at initial diagnosis. Doctors are being diligent but it doesn’t mean it’s going to be worst case. As it was stated below, anxiety does crazy things to us. My brain is going crazy with every minor ache. We will have answers soon. We will have care. You are loved and it’s going to be okay. Reach out if you want to vent or talk, I am 100% where you are. Wishing you all the best

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I just got my diagnosis at 32 and feel like I got hit by a truck. The waiting if is definitely the worst part of things. I hope you get good news and it’s nothing - statistically it probably is nothing. But I know how hard it is to not be consumed by it all when you don’t know. I have extreme health anxiety too. I’ve been taking Xanax to manage that so that might be something you can talk your doctor about too? Not sure how things work where you’re from (I’m in the states). Other advice I’ve gotten is just to feel the emotions and then let them go when you can. It’s okay to be scared and let your brain go to those scary places if you need to do that. Just come back out and know it’s just a feeling. It will pass. Time will pass and you’ll get more answers. And above all, like others have said, be kind to yourself ❤️

Thank you for asking. I had a biopsy on Thursday and just got results today. Unfortunately, it is breast cancer. I only know right now that it’s IDC, grade 2 and that it’s spread to at least one lymph node. Won’t know much more until the rest of pathology come in and I get an MRI this week. It’s been the worst day of my life, but still filled with love, so I guess I’m fortunate. Trying to stay hopeful. It’s going to suck for a while, but I’m (pretty) sure I’ll be okay.

I hope your luck continues! It’s natural to be nervous though. I’m totally new to this whole journey, so I probably can’t offer much insight on much. But It’s always better to checked when you notice abnormal changes and, statistically, it is probably nothing. Good luck and I hope everything turns out okay for you

Thank you. I spoke to my doctor. The thing that they use to rate the mammograms is a 5, so, it’s looking like it’s going to be positive. I have a 2.6 cm mass and then it sounds like much smaller ones in the surrounding area…I have a lot of health anxiety so the waiting is hard. As I’m sure everyone here knows. I’m very scared. Hoping that I can beat this.

Hello everyone, I came across this forum and found a little peace in it. I wanted to share to see if anyone had any advice for coping. I few days ago I noticed a lump slightly protruding from my breast. I called my doctor and ended up getting in the next day. He did a breast exam, found the lump but wasn’t overly concerned and said he didn’t think it was alarming and it felt likely fibrocystic. He ordered a mammo and ultrasound to be on the safe side. When I went in and got it checked. The tech seemed pretty concerned, also mentioned reactive nodes (which could maybe be from recent covid infection?). But that made me terrified that it’s super aggressive and has spread already. It feels large but I don’t know the exact size yet. anyways, the radiologist on site and they’re recommended a biopsy which is on Tuesday. I’m hoping to talk to my doctor tomorrow to find out more. I’m 32, fit, and haven’t had any health problems. I barely ever even get colds. I’m just losing my mind with worry. I know how statistically uncommon it is at my age but it’s just seeming like my fears are going to come true. I’m terrified of not knowing right now. Has anyone had a similar experience?
