Hi Louise so glad your op and recovery are going  well.  It’s weird how that area is mine is still tender to touch and as I said as soon as I eat it bloats out.  When I mentioned it to my surgeon he didn’t seem that concerned just said it takes time, but it looks awful it looks like a massive pot belly in reverse 😩. You’ll have to let me know what your consultant says. I stopped wearing the compression knickers after 6 weeks.  How is your new boob has it softened now as mine is still hard in places with lots of scarring and bumps.
