Hi, I had my first chemo yesterday, it was 2 chemo meds together, at the time I was having one of them I got really bad lower back pains so they stopped it gave me pain killers, some pirating allergy meds and then started again. My Oncologist said I was at early stages with no lymph nodes involved but last night I had occasional stabbing pains in my lymph nodes and my lower back was hurting but it was just above me tail bone. Has anyone else experienced this with chemo drugs.

Has anyone tried Manuka honey while having chemo, I have heard it is good for the side effects.

Hi I am about to start chemo for early stages of tnbc. I have stopped my hrt and struggling with menopause again, my Oncologist said if they was to bad then to start taking hrt again. Why would he say this when hrt has a risk of breast cancer. Thanks Kerri

Hi Ok strange question my chemo starts on Tuesday 6th of September and will be weekly. My husband works away a lot but is home from Thursdays, I really don't want to be alone after chemo, it is possible to speak with the nurses to see if my next appointment can be on a Thursday and not a Tuesday, also would like to try and work through treatment so better to get chemo late in the week so I can at least try and work 3 days a week. Can anyone let me know if they have been able to request the days. Cheers Kerri

Hi, They have already said about the brca test, that is to see if you have the gene isn't it. My mouth is so dry, I'm drinking litres of water abd feel sick all the time, I can't even drink coffee which is not like me. How long have you been cancer free. I can't find the mountain lion by strawberry blonde, it is in here. Thanks kerri.

Yes sorry, Oncologist, I am starting with chemo then surgery as they said chemo responds really well to tnbc, I'm so scared this has spread. I just want chemo to start but not sure what tests need to done first which will delay things more. Hoping for some positive news tomorrow as I can't carry on like this. Thanks kerri

Hi, I have an appointment tomorrow with my urologist to discuss treatment, how long after this appointment will chemo Starr as its been 6 weeks already since diagnosis. What's tests generally need to done before chemo can Start. Thanks Kerri

Hi All I read is negative stuff with tnbc and how it does not respond well to treatment. I lost my sister to lung cancer 8 years ago and the thought of my parents having to go through this again is just terrible. I will start with chemo the surgery followed by radiotherapy but still waiting for a Start date. I am so stressed, can't sleep, can't eat and my husband is struggling, we have only been married a year so this is devastating. Any advice will be welcome. Kerri

Hi, I am guessing you are near the end of your treatment now, how did everything go? I will be starting soon, same as you, chemo, surgery, and then radiotherapy. I was so shocked when they said mine was double negative as did not know this even existed. Please let me know your journey and how you are now. Thanks, Kerri
