Thanks @Rodin  I had a lumpectomy in June with one node removed followed by a cavity shave in July as my margin wasn’t clear, thankfully my lymph nodes were. I finished my radiotherapy about 6 weeks ago and I’m on Letrozole for 5yrs.  To be honest I’m struggling now, mentally and physically but it’s very early days and I’m going to ensure I get the appropriate support needed.  All I can say is trust the experts, ask lots of questions, take as much support as you can and be kind to yourself, it’s a BIG thing and you shouldn’t underestimate the impact it has.  Sending hugs 🤗   ... I also had a recall after a routine mammogram and had to wait 2 weeks for my results, I opted to call for my results as they were fairly confident it looked like a fibroadenoma. I was on holiday with my children when I rang for my results to be told the devastating news that I had breast cancer, how I wish I had got my results at the hospital where I would of received the appropriate support.  Not sure about the clip, I think it’s so they can monitor any future changes more easily?  Fingers crossed for you, the waiting is the worst feeling x  ... Hi @Hantsgirl  For myself the side effects took a few weeks to take effect, initially my boob was a bit pink and warm but I’ve been moisturising with Aveeno since my surgery in June and I definitely think this helped as I’ve had no skin problems at all.  I’m now finding I’m exhausted and lacking any energy, I also had a very sore throat and dry mouth, I’m also taking Letrozole so my side effects could be from my tablets too. My rib under my treated boob is quite tender but apart from that it’s not as bad as I thought. Be kind to yourself and take time to rest. Hope it goes ok for you x  ... View more

Thanks for replying, I’ve seen another thread on here and it would seem side effects vary from brand to brand so I’ll try and stick with the first brand to see how the side effects are, I spoke to the pharmacist and my doctor didn’t specify a brand so I’m going to call them tomorrow to resolve it.  many thanks  ... Hi Sharon I had to have a cavity shave as my margin wasn’t clear and I was also dreading it but it was so much easier for recovery. My surgeon went in on my original scar and it’s healed just the same, it’s much easier as you don’t have to have the lymph node surgery which I think is worse.  My margin was clear the 2nd time so just awaiting my radiotherapy now.  ...
