I actually felt relieved, too. Like my diagnosis day was a good day. I knew a bit about breast cancer and when they told me at the biopsy it looked like cancer and to be prepared, my thoughts went into overdrive. Luckily in the states we don't have a two week wait (mine was five days and only because I had my biopsy on a Thursday before a holiday weekend. Two days is a more typical wait time here) but I had pretty much killed myself off. So the actual diagnosis (hormone positive and early stage with more than likely no lymph node involvement) felt like a gift. I'm not on setraline but I take prozac and it does help. Anti-depressants are known to help with side effects in regards to AI. It takes about six weeks though for it to get into your system enough for you to notice. But for me they have been a game changer. Granted I was on prozac for years before my diagnosis but I went up in dose a few weeks ago in preparation for letrozole and it's already helping. ... View more

Thank you every one. I will find out Thursday for sure. I am working under the assumption that I will need a second Op on the basis that they were 90% certain I didnt have cancer. Not that I doubt their ability, it is just the way things work out for me usually. Thanks for replying, I’ve seen another thread on here and it would seem side effects vary from brand to brand so I’ll try and stick with the first brand to see how the side effects are, I spoke to the pharmacist and my doctor didn’t specify a brand so I’m going to call them tomorrow to resolve it.  many thanks  ...
