I discovered a lump of approx. 3cm in the lower right side of my left breast 6 days ago, GP also felt it and sent me for an ultrasound. The radiologist said she couldn’t find the lump but she found skin thickening. The waiting has been terrible. Yesterday I called the GP for results and was told by the receptionist “no further action” . And yet the lump can clearly be felt. What is it? I know I shouldn’t, but I googled skin thickening and found that it can be a symptom of breast cancer, so why would there be no further action. I phoned the GP surgery back to speak to the GP and found that he wasn’t working that day and another GP had written the no further action comment on it. I have asked for a phone consultation with my GP when he is back at work (which is tomorrow). But it is driving me crazy with worry. My hubby thinks the lump is even larger than 3cm……has anyone else had this happen and if so what was your outcome?
