Hi - have just joined the forum after researching possible interreaction between carbimazole and anastrazole. I am hyper, diagnosed in 2017 and was stable on carbimazole 5mg or 10mg on alternate days. BC diagnosis 2 years ago and taken anastrozole since Jan '21. Since then I've put on 12lbs and have night sweats, insomnia and too much energy for a 71 yr old! GP has been doing more frequent thyroid tests as TSH has been dropping. It is now low and my carbimazole has been increased to 10mg daily with a test after 6 weeks. One week in I am feeling much more normal. It makes sense to me that a new endocrine treatment might affect thyroid treatment and that weight gain could lead to under-treatment of thyroid.
