Hi ,so pleased you are doing well,and for your message .I'm 3 weeks post surgery and doing well ,still sore ,waiting for my results and then start date for radiotherapy and medication. Are you on medication. Take care Love sue

Yes once I'd posted I realised it was on the wrong site .yes I.was very shocked to get the phone call for the op .At least its all done now ,just got to wait for it to heel and get the results then I can do the radiotherapy then start the meds .x

The op was a success they got all the tumour and 1cm of the surrounding tissue .They took 2 lymph nodes from near the tumour .The breast doesn't hurt much but the armpit is so painful ,especially as I've done my exercises to .Spoke to my macmillian nurse today and she said that it can take up to 7 weeks to get the results from the tumour and the lymph nodes then they will see me and discuss the next step ,probably radiotherapy in Feb. Wad hoping have the radiotherapy done by Xmas. She said take the dressings off on Friday but don't get the areas wet for 2 weeks ,so I will just have to have dirty hair 🤣I can have a bit of a body wash and just watch I don't get them area's wet .Glad the operations done .xx

Hi kay ,I'm in shock this morning ,the hospital just rang theve had a cancellation and want me in for surgery at 7am tomorrow. Good job I'm organised and bought everything .Even wrapped all my Christmas presents yesterday . Sue x

Hi kay,thankyou for your reply .My daughter cried to and gave me a big hug .I just told my 5 year old that I needed a lump taking out of my breast .I've had my mri results ,the tumour is about 36mm, so no other nasty surprises so we can go ahead with the lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node biopsy. Just got to wait for a date . Sue xx

Hi cassie ,have you a date for your op ? Is a dmx a lumpoctomy or mastectomy .? When did your hot flushes ,mood swings start ? I was on hrt 5 years .I've been told I will need radiotherapy as I'm oestrogen positive ,but for just days .So although having breast cancer is awful it could be a lot worse ,I'm glad I caught it early .I had no symptoms, apart from my right breast being a little bit tender . Hi cassie ,on the mamagram the measurements were 35mm x34mm ,the ultrasound measurements weren't as big ,on the mri the results have come back as 36mm,so pretty close to the mammagram results .Nothing else showed up on the mri so we are going ahead with the lumpectomy, just got to wait for a date .How you doing ? My emotions are all over the place ,I'm anxious ,moody ,hot .I suffer with depression and anxiety anyhow and on meds for them but I don't want to increase them if I can help it .Might look at herbal remedies for menopause ,I've been off the hrt for 3 weeks now .where abouts are you with your treatment . Hi your diagnosis sounds similar to mine .I've got lobular breast cancer .The mamagram showed the mass to be 35mmx 34mm but the ultrasound showed it to.be 28mm x13 x 15 mm.Axillary biopsy was benign, Oestrogen receptor positive, progesterone receptor negative ,HER2 Negative .I had a mri 2 days ago so just waiting the results to determine the actual size of the mass .I've also had to stop my hrt (been on it 5 and half years after hysterectomy ). How long did you wait for results from mri ? I've been told 7 to 10 days before I get results then they will call me I to see what surgery I need and will also need sentinel lymph node biopsy .I put a brave face on for my children that are at home (15 and 5)but my day can go from being OK to scared,angry ,upset ,sad and tearful ..I've not yet had any side effects of stopping the hrt yet ,been off it 3 weeks .How you feeling ? X

Hi everyone ,just starting my breast cancer journey .Went to the doctors on 30th September after finding a lump in my right breast two weeks earlier (it took me 2 weeks to get the courage to go the doctors).Had a mamagram and ultrasound on 7th October and they saw the mass ,they took 3 biopsies from the mass and 2 from under my armpit ,as it had a slightly swollen lump.Friday 21st October back to see the consultant ,knew it was cancer straight away when the consultant ,a macmillan nurse and a student entered the room .I've got lobular stage 2 cancer .35mmx 34mm on mamagram, 28mm x 13.5 mm on ultrasound. Oestrogen receptor positive .Told to stop my hrt straightaway .was told I need a mri to determine size and then surgery and radiotherapy. With surgery I also need a sentinel lymph node biopsy. My days can go from feeling OK, to angry ,sad ,upset ,scared .I'm strong when my kids are there 15 and 5 but lie in bed at night scared of what's to come .Had my mri on 8th so just got to wait for the results and see what the consultants plan is .Thanks for reading .sue
