Hey! I have used the cap for 4 ACs now and still have a full head of hair. But I’ve been shedding since probably week 3 after my first cycle. Hey! So sorry to hear this. I have had 4 AC and will be receiving the same as you next for 4 cycles, and I was told the exact same thing that it would be easier! hi ladies how is everyone doing? i had my 3rd AC last friday. starting to feel normal again today - the last few days i have been exhausted!! one more AC to go then i will have my 4 x docetaxol! is anyone else on a similar regime? I am starting to get nervous about docetaxol now given I feel I am aware of all the AC side effects. my hair is doing ok so far with the cold cap, still shedding but not noticeable to anyone else. hope everyone is ok!!  ... hi all just wanted to give an update on my hair i am going in for round 3 of AC tomorrow (21 day cycles), my total regime is 4 x AC, 4 x Docetaxol, so I have a while to go yet. But so far my hair has done really well. No-one else would notice I have lost any hair. It has prob been shedding since around day 19, but nothing MAJOR (YET!!!). The area I can notice is above one of my ears where the cap doesn't properly cover.  What I am doing: Using daniel field hair growth spray every morning and night Using daniel field cool cap products on the days I wear the cap at the hospital Washing once a week only (comb before shower, condition pre washing then lots of conditioner and some oil after) Combing each morning and night Using no heated products on my hair  I have a long way to go obviously but my oncologist was really impressed by how much hair I had when I saw her a couple of days ago. I really struggled on the day of round 2 with the cold-cap as I found it sore and very cold (I think i took my painkillers too late), but it really is worth it to keep my hair (so far). I read through alllll of these forums before starting my chemo and cold capping journey so want to do anything I can to help anyone else!! Hi ladies Just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing? I am day 7 now post AC cycle 2. Hair shedding but still holding on, but let’s see what the next few weeks bring. The tiredness got me the last few days - was a struggle but I found a few 15 min walks per day really helped!! Feeling more like myself today and have logged into work - it’s helping distract me!!  Hope everyone doing ok. I am on a mission to get myself to the half way line of my 4 ACs. I am hoping the docetaxol is kinder in all ways so just want to get myself to that mark! Countdown is on! Lol  ... View more

Thanks ladies!! I found cycle day 2 way harder - the hospital was busier and I had the cold cap on for so long. I felt so nauseous when I got home - I didn’t feel like that last time so think it’s traumatised me a bit. Dreading cycle 3 already lol! But I know I need to get through these 4 ACs and hopefully the taxol is kinder in some ways!! So half way point os my goal atm. Otherwise thought yesterday (day 3) was tough just emotionally but I think I needed a good big cry!!! Today tired but just letting my body rest as needed! Hey all felt a lot better today thankfully!! Phew! Last night was grim! But have got lots of water into me and is helping. I wore a hat last time after my cold cap and this time I didn’t - I think that could have been my mistake and prob added to my sickness!! Noted for next time! How is everyone finding cold cap and results?  hope everyone else doing ok. I took my steroids earlier today so hopefully it helps. But I am the same - up every few hours to pee as I am trying to drink lots of water lol!  ... View more

Hi guys i had round 2 of AC yesterday. It took so long - they were v busy in the hospital. The cold cap felt extra cold!! My head still felt soooo cold all of last night - has anyone else experienced that?  I also started feeling really sick from the evening time and had to take the stronger anti-sickness meds - cycle one I didn't experience this at all so it threw me off - I felt horrific!! hi @ssrih looks like we have a similar plan. i am 4 x AC then 4 x docetaxal plus the two injections (i cannot remember their names right now but same as what you had typed below) just wanted to check in and see how you are doing? is your chemo finished up now? how have you found it? did you find side effects got worse with each cycle or stayed similar. hope you are doing well 🙂   ... hi everyone and happy new year! hope everyone is doing ok. i am on day 20 now of cycle 1. feeling relatively normal again, just got my bloods done so hopefully everything is ok to go ahead with cycle 2 on friday. dreading it tbh - but also just want to get it done!! have had a bit of shedding from my hair but nothing major yet - expecting it to happen soon. will def be continuing with the cold cap regardless.  spoke with my oncologist and she said my side effects for the remaining 3 AC should hopefully be similar to this round, with tiredness probably increasing each cycle. then it will be on to the 4 taxol! the finish line seems far away but round 1 actually went quite quick for me, i think probably being home and it being the christmas period helped!  hope everyone else is doing ok! how has everyone else found round 2 if you have done it? ...
