@moonsox Congratulations on keeping 50% of your hair! My goal was to keep at least 50% of my hair. I was disappointed that I kept it all until #8 and then it started falling out. Here is my final cold cap photo. My oncologist stopped my chemotherapy due to my having too many allergic reactions. I will continue Herceptin for the rest of the year and will move on Radiation. I believe I will have three weeks! Hope everyone is doing well!!  ... View more

 Treatment #8 of #12 with Abraxane. Cold capping has been going ok. Last week I started shedding a-lot in the back. I’m not sure why only in that spot. Hopefully it can hold out for a few more weeks. I’ve also been having acupuncture and that has been helping with my chemo symptoms.  ... View more

 Hi Everyone! Here is my 6th treatment photo. Sitting in the waiting room. This treatment was a really hard one for me. As I was also on antibiotics for a sinus infection. Over the weekend I was vomiting and had diarrhea. I took some meds to help and I started feeling better but two nights with no sleep is really rough. @sazlaz79  Yay!! Congratulations on your last cycle!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ I completely agree! This journey is completely different for every single person and you don’t realize it until you go through it. I am still working. I own my own business and I have a home office. I am an accountant and a tax preparer so this time of year is pretty challenging for me but I did stop taking new clients. It has helped me keep my mind off of things instead of sitting here, dwelling on my next appointment. I can also understand why some people take the time off of work, because some of the symptoms that I’ve been hearing people have been having would be pretty impossible to do work. @Geri033  Thank you. I already have pretty thick hair. I’ve been following all of the advice from Arctic Cold Caps. I’ve been having some shed lately but thats normal. I was told to use the  “Purador” brand because everything is alcohol free and has biotin which helps regrowth and thining. I also spray a organic alcohol free leave in conditioner on my hair every day. I heard good thing about Brian Johnson products, but I have not used them. Personally, I just bought a growth serum for my eyelashes and brows on Amazon. I hope you get good news on your MRI. ❤️ ❤️ ... View more

   Friday was my 5th treatment, 2nd using Abraxane. Treatment went well. Friday night I never sleep well because of the steroids and leg cramps. So far my energy is good. I have definitely developed the chemo acne, I look like a teenager. I think I have a sinus issue. I have been having sinus headaches. I need to stop that stat! I recently started acupuncture and massage to help with muscle cramps and prevention of neuropathy. How is everyone else?  ... View more

Good Morning! Yesterday, Friday the 4th I had my 4th round, first  Abraxane dose. They were super careful and gave me all the premeds even though Abraxane doesn’t require it. I don’t want to relive the last 10 days!! Last night I was pretty tired and had some itching and leg cramps. I took my homeopathic medication for that and it went away. I slept OK I guess. Because of the steroids it’s hard to get to sleep and then you wake up multiple times cause you have to go to the bathroom because of all of the water you drink yesterday. So far so good I guess. As far as cold capping goes, Ive only been having normal every day shedding. So far so good!!  ... View more

I had my checkup today with my oncologist and good news I don’t have neuropathy, bad news my severe itchy burning skin is an allergic reaction to Taxol. My Dr canceled my treatment for tomorrow and put me on prednisone for the next 7 days. She is switching my infusion to  Abraxane. She said it is taxol but without the solvents so it’s much more tolerable. Hopefully it will workout. I won’t have any pictures to post tomorrow  ... View more

Hi @Honeylamb    We are planning to visit some friends in Phoenix AZ and drive down to Mexico in June. I have learned it really helps my mental state to have something to look forward to. This week is my fourth cycle, my third cycle I had severely itchy skin and I think maybe even a little bit of neuropathy. The palms of my hands and the bottoms of my feet were allergic reaction itchy but then I also noticed that I was getting little stabs of pain and I think that is neuropathy so I’ll definitely have to let my doctor know about that.  ... Week 3 of Cold Capping. I’ve only been having normal shedding. I decided to take a picture before I went into the hospital. This last week I had some mouth sores and severely dry skin and rashes.  The Dr cut my steroids in half since they kept me up for over 24hrs last time. My blood work was good. My infusion went ok. Cold capping seems to be getting easier. Friday I slept better but it took awhile to get to sleep and I had my leg cramps again. It could be worse. I’m grateful my symptoms have been mild.
