Hi How are you doing now. I am slightly down the line.. I have just turned 38 single mum. Was diagnoised last september with cancer one side pre-cancer the other..had lumpectomy and gland removal. Then Nov decided to go for the full wammy to get as much as possible out the way.Rather a preventative as have disabled son and time out isnt really an option. Had bi-lateral macectomy with immediate reconstruction. Been blow up (lilo lil ll) (deflated due to pain) blown up again in quite a few stages since january. Other op unfortunately is on the cards as these have not ended up quite how they should be ...neer mind. It is a roller coaster of emotions but it does get a little easier.....Where abouts are u? so sorry about your dilema!! i had bi lasteral with immediate reconstruction nov 08....lots of blow ups and inflations..few months down the line been told nothing more can be done with these..surgeon isnt happy-could fit another boob between the new ones i have... its a long road decision making ..just make sure u r mentally ready before u do anything...i havent decided yet! huge hugs xxx ... I am further on than you had mine drained 6 times! it does settle down with time but its a little bugger!!! lol I had bi lateral masectomy in nov still having blow ups! Wat I suggest that really actually worked with my seroma was cabbage leaves.. we are all told this by midwifes I did the same as i was completely fed up with going up and down every few days to hospital!! it worked for me -give it a try! Place a leaf inside your bra for the day- replace at evening... best to store the biggest leaves in fridge. it worked for me.. please try.. know how u r feeling keep smiling huge hug m xxx ... Hi Nice to see new kindred spirits.... I am not sure yet what is going to happen! Still having procedures to blow me up.. They gave me a few weeks rest from pain they deflated one side - we continue again monday. really eager now to continue! lol.The implants I have are silicone withe the saline on the outside.. My gap in the chest is rather wide but whether this gets smaller with blow ups I do not know. With rippling..one side is a little but am not really concerned about that at the mo..we will see what more blow ups bring- I may consider what you are going to do at a later date if I am not happy with the final results but still got quite a few procedures left to do-I am just hoping I can get bigger than I was before all this B to C (got to have some perks to going through this lol)we will have to see what the blow ups bring! Silicone implants have been mentioned by my surgeon for future date if I am not satisfied. I am not sure about waiting lists in my part of the world..but I am sure you wont have to wait too long for yours. With yours did you experiance any problems? big hugs m ... View more

cheers for insight i had both nipples removed.one was pointing outwards after lumpectomy and they were both very dominant after having my son..thought like boobs easier in the long run..nipples were always pertruding bras/tops.. so it will be fantastic to have life without the worry lol..i like u wish to be c cup 1 size bigger..no point going through all this without some perks lol...I have taken it really really easy as i am due for next procedure monday...still have weekend must try and take it easy but its so hard as normally very active!..do not want to remain one size bigger than the other for much longer and really want to be finished..I like u am considering the nipple procedure afterwards but if these implants dont improve with end couple of blow ups might have to consider another op with the silicone ones.(have yours rippled at all?).please keep in touch luvly to hear from u ...its a wierd and yet wonderful experiance to relate to someone whos had the same..much appreciated. keep smiling m xxxx ... thanks leslee Its a longer road than I thought- spent last 5 weeks with one side deflated due to pain..bit lopsided! i think at last it is improving muscles were completely in spasm. My ports too get on my nerves when trying to get comfortable.. When you were having it done did you find that one side was better than the other.. One seems to be more towards the armpit/gap in middle quite wide..if so does this improve with blow ups/size? I know they will never be the same again but have not spoken to anyone who has the same. I am like you due to dcis ... I can completely understand where you are coming from and the vast emotions experienced! I am like you my cancer boob is completely clear but with everything that I have been told and more so the worry of it coming back in that one...i think I would preferre a bi lat mx....I am a worrier and I think that this is the only way I can keep positive over my future health. It is pretty radical but I also cannot afford time out with my disabled son too often so having op after op isnt really an option. It is now deciding whether immediate or delayed reconstruction- when ever u get your questions answered it always seems to open 50 more questions. Hi Im 37yrs I have decided today to have a double masectomy( with immediate reconstruction or a later one... still cannot decide..)Problem is unable to talk immediately to reconstructive surgeon and I want to make my decision asap.. Its a complete nightmare isnt it. I have been told to have the implants as like you am slender and theres not enough to cut off from else where... with what I have read seems like a fairly straight forward op but you are probably like me and would like to hear about it from someone who has had it done already... this is a really good site and I hope it helps you and me take the right road to treatment. a kindred spirit Meggiemay ...
