Hi, I also have fibromyalgia, arthritus, cevical spondilytus (excuse spelling) and at the moment I am having problems with my legs. They are so swollen and they go bright red and burn. I have seen a consultant and I have had a type of scan on them, and next Monday I have an appointment with the consultant for the results. There really bad at the minute and I really want them to ease off, but I would like the consultant to see them at their worst. Hubby has took a picture of them so I can show them the colour they go, it comes halfway up my calfs and I look like I am wearing football socks.
The problems I have is when I feel so poorly and tired, is it the fibro? is it from the chemo? Is the cancer ? is the arthritus I just dont know.
I am older than you and I have finished work, I had finished work before I was diagnosed with BC, I dont know how people manage to go to work. I get so exhausted, and I can't stay in bed long because I am in to much pain, then I just fall asleep at anytime, I have fell asleep holding a mug of tea, in fact I did it last week, were always buying mugs lol. Hubby is brilliant and if he is here and he thinks I am just going to go to sleep he sits with me till I have drunk my tea.
I know how all you ladies are feeling, we just dont know what is making us feel so ill.

Hi I had a Nhs wig, my hospital gave me a voucher for a wig up to the cost of £200 I think, and I had my wig from Debenhams.I got mine before I lost my hair so I was ready. Debenhams had two ladies working there that helped me pick which one I liked, I tried loads on. A lot of people didn't know it was a wig I was wearing. I hated it when I lost my hair, but when I got used to wearing the wig I loved it. I got ready in half the time, just had to do my face and slip on my hair brilliant. I think the wigs are so much better now, they don't look so false, mine was a blonde bob.
Good luck I am sure you will be fine 🙂

hi ladies not a god day today, remember I told you about my mums friend who had the stroke 3 years ago. Well she took really ill last Thursday, I did manage to get to see her, well she died this morning, and I feel so sad. We have been friends since I was 5, there was 3 famlies, Bett who has just died, her sister and their husbands and my mum and dad, they where more than friends, they where like family. My mum didn't have no brothers or sisters so they were our family. They did everything together, holidays, christmas, birthdays, weddings and any family occassion. It was like having 3 mums and 3 dads and Bett was the only one left. While she was still with us I felt like a bit of my mum and dad was still here, but now the've all gone. For her benefit it was a good thing to happen because she as had no life since she had the stroke, she never got out of bed, couldn't talk properly or eat properly, so for her it is a happy release. When I used to go and see her we still use to laugh at all the things that we had done together, now I feel so lost. Just need to remember the good times now, and there was loads.

Hi Ladies, Kanga you had me in tears(of laughter) I can relate to some of your mishaps, but I don't think I have ever lost my trousers lol
Well Fil is slightly improved today, he is dressed, and as had a short walk outside, he said he still feels really weak, but we've told him to take his time. Spoke to him on his mobile earlier, and hopefully if my leg improves were going to go down this week.
I went to see doc again yesterday morning, I told him the higher dosage morphine patch made no difference, in fact it's getting worse. He thinks now it could be coming from my back, I did have a slipped disc, and the bottom disc as crumbled away. He thinks something has moved and there is a nerve trapped, so I now have some more new pills!! I have got to take 1 at night for 2 nights, then 1 in the morning and 1 at night for another 2 days, then I have got to take 3 a day for 2 more days, then I have got to ring him and tell him if there working. I shall soon start to rattle, I take 6 tablets in a morning now, then 3 at lunchtime, 4 at teatime, 6 at bedtime, I am going to end up getting in a mess with them, I have one of those pill boxes that gives you a compartment for your pills at each meal time and I still end up sometimes taking the wrong ones lol
I have put a new pic of baby Lola on my profile, she is growing so quick. She had her first injections the other day, the nurse said she can have calpol now, so if she getts a bit irritable give her a dose of calpol. Well she did and then she was sick, Nikki paniced then and thought there might be something wrong with the calpol. So she had a spoonful to see if it was ok, she wasn't sure, so she made hubby have a spoonful as well lol good job it was ok or they would all have been ill.
Well peeps it looks like it is going to be a lovely weekend, so I hope you all have a good one,

Wow I thought I had lost our thread, I had to go to page 8!!!! I know we are all on face book but I still always look on here.
Kanga, what an awful time your going through at the minute, hope hubbys result was ok, and hope you got the answer you were looking for with your oncon. I am glad it is someone like you sorting the tax thing out, I wouldn't know where to start!!
I have been reading on FB what everyone is up to at the minute, and we all seem to be going through the mill one way or another. I am trying to get use to these higher dose patches, the sleeping hasn't altered yet, and the pain isn't much better, but I suppose I have got to give them a bit longer. I still haven't heard from the hospital about my appointment about the valves in my leg.
Well I will go and have a nose on FB

Hi ladies, well its weekend again, what happens to all these short weeks now were getting older, perhaps the older you get the time goes faster. I have posted on Fb about FIL, it is so awful, just keep trying to support him. He is just really down at the minute, well MIL says he is in bed a lot because he is fed up, but me and hubby think it is because he is really poorly, but its easier to let MIL think that for the moment. He is going to feel poorly I suppose because his blood tests are so low they can't operate, and his immune system must be zero. Hopefully going to see him tomorrow, I have not been feeling to good since I uped my tablets so if I don't feel like going hubby will have to go.
I have said on Fb about the new patches I have to use. I looked at the SE online and it said if I am going abroad I have to let the country know I am taking them, and some countries, dont know which I have to get permission from the home Office!!
Kanga your knicker story made me laugh, your as bad as me flushing things down the loo,I flushed my bosses mums expensive pearls down the loo thinking they where toilet cleaners lol
Well I hope Carol is having better weather than us, it is teaming it down here. Its such a shame, there are loads of fun days etc going on. There is a fun day tomorrow in the village where we live, and the is a steam Fair in the next village. It is such a shame because yesterday was a lovely day, I am still waiting to use my new picnic basket.
Well ladies have a nice weekend whatever your doing,

Hi ladies, well I went to the docs, he thinks the pain is coming from my hip, so I have got to up my amitriptlyne from 75mg to a 100mg, and he as put me on a stronger morphine patch, now I am 35mg an hour instead of 20mg, and I have to have it changed every 4 days instead of a week. He as warned me though that the side effects of the higher patch are worse, so I will wait to see what colour I am next week !!
The friend of my daughters had her baby yesterday, a little girl, that was what she would have liked because she as a little boy. Her sister texted my daughter and said she was just perfect, just like she was asleep. They did all hold her, oh its so awful I can't understand how they are coping.
Jackie, sounds like your tatties are doing well, dont they just taste so good when there so fresh.
Carol, hope you have a good time in IOW, eat plenty of cakes I bet you will walk them off.
Sandra, your not fat!! I have seen your pics, you look a lovely weight, wish I looked that good.Hope you friend gets sorted, I will keep everything crossed for her.
Suze are you going to meet Kanga? have I missed something?
And what about Sue and the moon, getting confused now.

Hi Ladies thanks for your huggs and messages, think it as just been one of those weeks for me this week. Getting worked up about FIL's op next Monday also. He rang yesterday afternoon said guess what, I hate it when he says that. Well they had cancelled his op because his white blood cells were to low, said they would book him in after about 3 weeks. Then low and behold not 30 minutes later he rang again, the op is now back on, the surgeon didn't want him waiting another 2 weeks so there going to give him a blood transfusion before the op. Daughters friends not had the baby yet, it is so awful. Your poor friend Sandra, and not being able to have any more children.
Suze, I know just how your feeling, I buy clothes and I look like a badly stuffed sofa I hate it. At the monent I cant just get my head round anything, just wish something good would happen, oh boy I am a right misery sorry. My daughter came to see me this morning hubby had asked to come round and try and talk me into going to the doctors. It is my legs or hip I am not sure, the injection in my hip didn't work this time. It is a pain like tooth ache, it just dont go away,I just don't like to keep bothering him.
I might see if I can get an appointment tomorrow.
Well take care everyone, I will try to be a bit happier next time,

Hi ladies, well I don't know if I have caught Sandras teary week but are full of them today. Had a real sh**ty day, just felt poorly, been in and out of bed. Then my daughter rang me tonight in floods, a good friend of hers was due to give birth to her baby this week. She was talking to her on Friday, telling her they haven't found out what sex the baby is because they have a 3 year old little boy and they wanted to suprise him with either a brother or a sister. Well she went to the hospital today, they have been keeping a check on her because she had a miscarriage. She is also a nurse so she as had plenty of checks. The baby was due this Friday, but she was all prepared to go any time because her little boy was early. So she went today for her last check and there was no heart beat, the baby has died. My daughter was in a right state, how the girl feels I cannot begin to understand, the thing is they have given her a tablet and sent her home to go into labour. They have told her is she hasn't gone into labour by Wednesday they will induce her. It is just so awful to think she has to give birth to this baby, going through labour and everything knowing the baby has died. Life isn't fair sometimes is it, but I think we all know that. I hope you dont mind me coming on here and bothering you ladies, I just wanted to talk, and I am still not sure about how FB works yet. Sorry to moan but I just feel quite sad at the minute, I feel so sorry for them all, I just can't think what they are going to tell that little boy, he is 3 and as been waiting for his brother or sister to be born. Still as they say life goes on.

Kanga I understand you, I am very much the same (are you sure were not related lol) I am very placid, nothing bothers me much, and it takes a lot to make me angry, but when I go I am terrible. A red mist definately comes down and I just go balistic. I bet I can count how many times I have gone like that, I just don't have a temper, but I hate unfairness. Your neighbour sounds like a bit of an a**Se h**e are you sure its not my ex lol think maybe you should wait a while before you tackle him, dont want to visit you in a spanish jail lol I can really understand how you feel, and it will play on your mind till youve sorted it, perhaps some kind of sarcasm (A cutting, often ironic remark intended to wound) I copied the meaning for you, thought that sounded good lol
Saffron, wow you are going to be busy, sounds like your going to have a lovely place when its finished. Watch what your doing though, and dont do to much
Guess what I did today, I had a go on the euro millions last night, checked the numbers this afternoon, all I had was 2 numbers on one line, so I riped it in half. Then I looked at the prize breakdown and you won something for 2 numbers, well I didn't know that. Told hubby what I had done, and he said you sure youve not won the jackpot lol so he said I have got to ring someone so he rang my daughter, my grandson answered, said is mum wasn't there so hubby said 'your grandma as won on the euromillions and ripped the ticket up, its a good job it wasn't the jackpot or I would put her in a home' lol then my grandson gave my daughter such a jumbled message so she rang. I told her what had happened and I was laughing, she was telling her hubby and he'd had 2 numbers and threw it away, he didn't know you won something for 2 numbers, so its not just me lol
Well peeps have a nice Sunday,

Sandra, hope your feeling a bit better today, have the tears stopped? hope so. It is awful when something starts you, I was like that last weekend, I was just really down but I am not sure why. Hope your DIL got her mums house sorted, you dont realise how much stuff they have, and it is really upsetting. It was lovely chatting with you and Carol yesterday, pity were not close enough for the occasional coffee 🙂
Dee, fish and chips in Blackpool boo woo 😞 I love fish and chips at the seaside, hope you have a nice day though.
Carol, I don't envy you having a bad back, I understand how you feel. Sounds like your doing a good job of ordering your men folk about in the allotment lol Hubby as grown some veg in our garden this year, I desprately wanted some home grown potatoes, he planted some and we have had 2 boilings of them so far.We have had beetroot, spring onions, radish and lettuce, tomorrow for dinner we are having carrots and potatoes out of the garden, you cant beat home grown veg.Hope you get some luck this time with your forms.
Kanga, do you go out looking for strays, or is it just your kind nature they find you, perhaps they think your lost lol Well if you dont want to go in my basket you can stand on the back, you will be safe unless I cross the road, or have to swerve quick round someone then I might tip you off. Probably you better get an helmet and some elbow and knee pads, beter safe than sorry.
Pam, you need to get work men like our Carol to work on your allotment,
Vickie, nice to see you back on the thread, not seen the poetry thread of yours I will have a look for it.
Maria, hope your ok, just seen your post on Fb and I am a bit confused. I hope everything is ok and your not leaving this thread are you? ((((((((hugs ))))))) incase you need them.

Hi Ladies, been chatting to Sandra, Carol and Fiona on FB, I read something on FB then click Ive lost it lol
Went to the hospital Wednesday, I am not sure what he said about the right leg, but I have got a bad varicose vein in that one. The Docter that did it was more concerned about my left leg, I asked him what he had found, I knew he had found something because he kept going back to that leg. Anyway he said the valves were compouned in the main vein at the back of my knee. He said the blood was flowing up but when it got to the valve instead of it flowing to my heart it was dropping back down. He said he would send the report to my consultant that evening and I should hear fron him in the next couple of weeks. It as really come at a bad time though because FIL as his op a week on Monday, just hope my appointment don't coincide with him being in hospital.
Jill, glad you had a nice few days away, it is nice to get away sometimes.
Carol, did you get your forms filled ? I hate filling forms in. Your hair does look lovely in that picture on FB.
Sandra, it is sun shining here now, hope it stays nice for my daughters school summer fair, sorry you've missed your picnic, you will have to have sports day in your garden when the weather picks up.
Dee, I read about you burning your self, hope its getting better, where did you find some sun lol glad work is going ok.
Maria, you do sound really positive at the minute, that is good. I am with you at remembering everybody on FB, but I am soon confused. What confuses me is the different names people have on Fb I am never sure who is who lol love all your small statements at the end of your post, especialy 'dont google anything', I googled what the docter had said about my legs and I shouldn't have, sorry 😞
Well better go and dry my hair, thought I had better come on the thread and let you know how I got on at the hospital.

Hi Ladies thought I would put a new Lola pic on my profile,Nikki sends a new pic everyday, its really nice that she keeps her us involved with everything to do with Lola.
Juli, Hi and welcome to the crazy gang, we have all been on a journey we didn't want to go on, but we have met some fantastic people on the way. You will feel better when things start to happen, then at least you know that horrible cell will be gone. I will look for you on FB and try to add you, I am not good at FB though lol
Kanga, if there going to hang me from 2 stories high they will need a dam strong rope, or better still a thick chain.
Sandra, sorry you had a tearful day yesterday, when something starts me off crying thats it for the rest of the day. Hope your feeling better today, I'll send you a (((((((hug ))))))) there does that feel better. Guess what I was singing today, 'The railroad Runs Through The Middle of The House' can you remember that one Sandra, Carol,Kanga, Jackie,Dee, who else ? I went on you tube and it was on there and I was singing along, then I had 'gillygillyhosenfefer' (can't spell it lol) but can sing it though, and then 'I'm a pink toothbrush your a blue toothbrush', and they were all on youtube I had a right musical afternoon lol
Sandra, the consultant can't understand why it is both legs, because I have only got a bad vein in one leg. He said he would ask for the scan to be done just to check them out. I dont know if I have to move my head slowly or not because nobodys told be about the spondylosis. It would be nice to meet with you all one day, if you come closer to Banbury sometime I would be able to get there.
Jackie, I could perhaps get Kanga in the basket at the front of my scooter, she would just have to dangle her legs down. I am not that red hot on FB Jackie, I see a post then puff its gone and Ive lost it lol The treasure hunt idea of Sandras is excellent, hubbys eldest 2 grandchildren are coming for a couple of days in August, we have to think of something to do because the little boy is a live wire lol, think Sandra should patent her treasure hunt idea, you could make a bomb Sandra.
Isabelle, I haven't seen your pics on FB I am going to have to go have a look now.
Carol, I haven't seen your pics of your posh hair do, I am going to find that aswell.

Hi ladies, so hot and muggy here, I am hot and bothered just reading your posts (well Sandras back and she gets me hot and bothered lol)
Hope you all had a good meet, I looked how far it was for me to come but it was over 2 hours and we had got to Banbury on the Sunday for hubbys youngest daughters birthday, and to see FIL. If we lived in Banbury it would be no problem, its only just over an hour from there I checked, I will make it one day. Hope you great time, I haven't been on FB yet.
Jackie was Sandra good? I dont beleive it if you say yes lol
Well you ladies will be pleased to know I am going for a duplex scan on my legs on Wednesday morning, so hopefully I am a bit closer to finding out what is causing them to swell up and look like I am wearing red football socks, I hope !!
Kanga, I know how your feeling with swollen feet and legs, do they go red aswell? Hows the puppy have you heard?
Carol, are you sure its vertigo? i keep going dizzy, especially when I look up, I didn't realise that I have cervical spondylosis at the top of my spine. I found out when I got my letter from the consultant who is treating my legs. He sent me a copy of the letter he was sending to my GP and the doctor who is dealing with the scan on my legs. The letter said one of my problems was Cervical Spondylosis, the thing is nobody told me lol I couldn't understand why I go so dizzy looking up, and I am awfull at the dentists when you have you head tilted back, think I need to get a new toothbrush, can anybody recomend the best type for me please !!!
Dee did you go push bike riding or moterbiking ? brrmmmm brrrmmmmm (thats my engine sound lol
Isabelle how are things down on the farm, bet it is still keeping you all busy. Are you going away this year ? I know youve had a few days away.

Hi Ladies, I was going to mention sitting on the laptop, then I thought no better not lol
Want a laugh Kanga, well on Sunday when my grandchildren where here I was on the phone to MIl and I was telling her about not putting my name on the poop sample. Then yesterday my daughter and her family were all sat at the table having dinner and she was telling them she had a bit of an upset tummy. SIl said 'I dont think this is a subject we should be talking about over dinner, then the youngest of the 2 boys who is nearly 16 said 'well its not as bad as grandma, she poops on a stick and then posts it'. My daughter collapsed in a heap laughing, then she did explain to him it was for medical reasons and it was in an sealed envelope being sent to a labority. They no I am the dippy grandma but I dont just poop on a stick and put it in the post box, I bet he thought I had gone even more crazy lol
Kanga I can totally understand you getting upset over Archie, I would feel just the same, such a pity he couldn't stay with foster family, and what a stupid woman picking up a dog for a substitute.
Dee, glad your first day at work went ok, hope you not doing to much though ((((hugs))))
Carol, hope you never fell of your bike, fancy going riding round the canal you could have fallen in !!!
all you other ladies are ok, I cant find out how Karen got on, it is probably on face book but I can't find it.

Hi thanks Sandra and Carol, so they will know its my poop then, what a lovely job these people have. Glad the poached eggs were good Carol, no it was that complicated Carol system with my grandsons lol, Everyone had a phone number lol she as never left them before. She rang me this morning about 7am before she went to school to tell me she was home ok. She was telling me on Friday when they left for 1 full day 2 half days!!! when she went to say goodbye to louis, he is the younger one, she started to fill up. Then he said don't mum, but it was to late, then he started to well up, then dad came to say bye and he was welling up. They eventually got in the car and she said they were both sniffling, and my SIl said 'I don't like this at all' I think if it wasn't for the fact her dad had paid for the tickets she wouldn't have gone.
Sandra did you have nice weekend with your grandchildren, when you said about your grandaughter saying about she wanted to come to yours instead of the zoo etc it reminded me of my Ethan my sons little boy. He use to want to come here instead of going out to places, that doesn't happen no more, it is so sad.Right stop now or I will be blubbing.
Well I don't know what you other ladies are like but it is so humid here, I am just red hot sitting here on the lap top, I hope nobody comes because prothesis as had to go, it was making me so hot and sweaty.
I wonder how Karen as gone on, if any one hears can they message me, been thinking about her all day, hope she had a nice visit with Karl going to visit mum.

Hi ladies, well I did a lovely long post this morning and puff it went, doesn't it make you angry when it does that. I would love to know were they go, I bet there is someone collecting all our posts, having a laugh at Kanga's and Sandras antics, Moi I am good I am cough cough. Well I did a stupid thing last week, I know your all thinking 'heather doing something stupid noooooo' What happened was I was sent a letter that was asking me to go on the bowel screening thing, so I thouhgt I had better do it as we have a good friend who is terminally ill with bowel cancer. I dont know if any of you other ladies have done it but it isn't nice. You get this card with 3 sections for 3 different days, when you lift the flap there is 2 windows were you put a sample in each yuk, and you have to do this 3 days on the trot. Well it took me 3 weeks to pluck up courage to do it, so on Wednesday I started. I was armed with rubber gloves, baby wipes, disinfectant, and hand cleaner, anybody would have thought I was handling a dangerous bug lol So I got it sorted, couldn't wait till Friday, when it was finished I sealed it up, put in the envelope provided and posted it straight away. All well and good you must think but no!! I woke up early hours Saturday morning and realised I had not put my name on any of them, so they are going to be receiving samples from the unknown women lol
Kanga, and can understand just how your feeling about the puppy, I would be wanting to go with him lol
Sandra, hope your grandson is ok now, hate them hurting themselves.
Isabelle, what a lovely story about the calf, I would be like Kanga I wouldn't want them to go anywhere. Hope youir feeling better now after your bug.
Jill, glad your ok, sounds like your doing to much though. I understand how you feeling about the crying, sometimes I start and I just cant stop. I've had a bit of a crying weekend, it would have been my mums birthday tomorrow so that doesn't help. My 2 eldest grandsons and the eldest ones girlfriend came for Sunday lunch though. Their mum is in Spain for the weekend visiting her dad, it is the first time she as left them so it as been a major operation. They are 18 and nearly 16, and SIL's brother lives across the road, her friend lives next door. I have got phone numbers to ring if I need to, and they have my number, don't know what she thinks their going to do lol anyway it cheered me up today to see them. Even though their older they still give me a cuddle and kiss and tell me they love me, and the girlfriend does to, she is a lovely girl though.
Dee, good luck for Tuesday, take it easy though.
Karen, good luck tomorrow ((((hugs)))))))))
Carol, in my morning post I said hope enjoy your poached eggs, that was hours ago though, I am a bit late now lol

Hi Ladies I have stopped giggling now, I went to sse my daughter today, it was her birthday, I was telling her about the naughty girls on our thread. When I was telling her about Sandras post hubby piped up saying that one of my friends told us about her experiance with fore named appliance. He thought when I read it to him that the reveiws where what Sandra had been up to lol I know now why he asked when were having a meeting lol
Well I have been to see the consultant today about red swelling legs, and guess what? he is puzzled, so I have got to go and have a scan on the veins in both legs to see if there is something showing. Then he said come back and see me and we will have a talk about it. so wait wait and more waiting
Went to Banbury yesterday to see hubbys family, FIL's hair was coming out so hubby took the clippers down and clipped it off. I got a bit upset because it bought it all back to me, hubby was a bit upset to do it because he said he didn't think he would have to do that again for somebody suffereing cancer. The thing that upset me the most though was MIL, hubby cut his dads her outside, while they where out there MIL just broke down, it is the first time in all the years I have known her I've seen her cry. She is not a person that shows her emotions easy, I think it did her good to get it out. I did say though that if FIL's op goes ok and he is in there for 10 days, if she sorts some visitors out for a couple of nights hubby will fetch her to stay. She was really pleased about that, she said she would just like a break for a few days, the thing is she is still ill and losing a lot of weight and nobody knows why. She was losing weight before FIL took ill, but it could be the worry now that is causing her to lose more weight.
Well ladies I will love you and leave you,
Take care, and be good, (sandra and Kanga 🙂 )
