Had cut right down and used the excuse of chemo to have a few the night before my chemo.I had been diagnosed with cancer so thought get a grip and give it up.At my third session of chemo I gave it up and the chemo helped me stay off it as my desire was weak and the odd time I had a puff it was disgusting and burned my throat, so I feel that chemo helped me to stay off them. Tell your GP you want referred to the breast clinic at your local hospital if he is not willing to refer you, you want to speak to the doctor in charge of the practice, if it still doesn't happen go to the hospital and speak to the nurses you will find support. Hope it works out ok ... View more

you don't say how old you are as chemo can bring on early menopause my periods stopped last june and I finished chemo in nov my periods have not returned, I am on tamoxifen which can also keep your periods at bay.I am happy they are stopped and don't want them back Hope this helps ... View more

Had a great time at YWF had to go to bed early (2 am).Great news Sharon getting treatment at Marsden. Went for check up today had mammogram wasn't to sore, have to get bone scan for pain in side and an mri later on.Back to work next week a gradual return over 6 weeks, hope everyones treatment is going well ... Hi all finish rads on wednesday then off to birmingham till monday for a 21st doing ok but lost skin under arm on the last day before boosters sods law. Hi all, sorry to hear of the tragedies that have happened and all the problems you all have being having. It’s terrible when this happens but we have to remember there is light at the end of the tunnel it’s just no one comes and tells us how successful it has been for them, nothing to buck us up, so we need to buck each other up. I can’t come up with anything poignant at 6 in the morning after chemo. So this is the best I can do because all the other jokes I have would be barred on the site because some jokes need the bad words to make them funny. A plane is quickly losing altitude and all the passengers know its going to crash and start saying their goodbyes A woman stands up, rips off her blouse and shouts “Someone make me feel like a woman again for one last time” A Scotsman stands up, rips off his shirt and says “Here hen, iron this”!
