I just came across your post about Xmas. I am exactly the same and struggle every year as I was diagnosed on 23rd December. I knew that I was going straight into hospital after Christmas and I suffer very badly in the winter months especially coming up to Xmas. I went to CBT and had 12 sessions. Yes it's good, a lot of common sense but it's trying to practice it regularly is the problem. When I am have a dark day all the CBT goes out the window. I notice you say that you have the rages well so do I, they come from nowhere and can last 5 minutes or a day! Since the day I was diagnosed I am a different person, yes I still laugh and enjoy my life, but it's a different life. CBT can help and if you haven't tried it I would.
