Hi Little Meg, My skin is so sentative that the first time they removed the sticking dressing to flush my picc line it took the skin with it and left my arm sore, red and itchy, the Cavilon acts as a barrier cream between the skin and the dressing. HiLittle Meg, I also had a picc line in for 4 months would really say it was for the best, makes life so much easier. Having the picc line put in was fine, took around 15/20min,did not feel a thing. I bought a sleeve to cover may arm for a shower but I found it very difficult to put on, you need two hands really, when hubby was around that was great otherwise I had baths instead. My skin was very sensitive and I had to use Cavilon (you can get this on perscription) which is a barrier cream that was put on before the dressing, the picc line was washed thru every week by the chemo team, and they knew how to keep the line comfortable with dressings trail and error with everyone. Hi There, Where did you get your bras from before your surgery ? The only reason why I ask this is because Womenzone http://www.women-zone.co.uk have a fantastic pocketing service which has worked really well for me, as the only bras that seem to fit me correctly are Triumph full cups, wide straps, and deep under arm panel, which covers the scars. The turn around on sending my bras in the post to receiving them back was seven days (inc. weekend) fantastic job, charged only £6.00 per bra and postage of £3.00. Hope you find this usefull. ... Hi There, There is light at the end of the tunnel - like you the last three FEC I had no energy at all, breathless,aching all over and oh not forgetting fat and bald !! Finished chemo end March hair now an inch long (grey & white) and energy levels so much better, after chemo every week is an improvement on the last week, and lost over a stone now. However tried to go back to work partime and only lasted three weeks, now feel very emotional not sleeping at night, and cannot run around as I used to, but as everyone tells me this will take time,but honestly I do feel so much better just not quick enough. Hi All, you will like this one, having returned to work partime having mx last Nov, finished chemo end of March, still feeling tired, hair coming thru slowly, feeling fat .........etc Girl at work says nice to see you back at work you look good.... Hi cmw, I have aslo been told I have carpal tunnel in my left hand which is the same side as my mx last November,the pain is worse at night pins and needles in my thumb and the two fingers next to it, feel like big fat sausages, it wakes me up in the night, awaiting appointment for possible surgery, like you have mx, chemo, and now this, oh! no Lymphoedema though. ... Hi, I am also on Letrozole (Femera) and have been diagnosed with Carpul Tunnel in my left wrist same side as MX which I had last November. My GP thought there could be a link with the surgery/removal of lymph nodes/or SE of Letrozole, however has referred me to a surgeon. ... View more
