I get awful side effects with tamoxifen, very dizzy, tired achy to name but a few. I decided on 6th january to lose some weight and have lost 1 stone to date, it's very hard to lose weight on this drug but thought it would make me feel better, well mentally it has but physically im just the same. HI all, I have been on Tamoxifen for 21 months, and I feel my side effects are getting worse over time, my symptoms are : poor memory, bloated, cannot sleep only couple hours a night, miserable irritable and just lately stomach ache, have just had abdomen ultrasound and the sonograper said it looks ok. I am scared stiff that the cancer is somewhere else, does anyone else get stomach probs with tamoxifen ? Feel like coming off of it but too scared to . take care all. Libby xxx ... View more

Hi all hope you are all well. I have not been on here for a while due to various reasons, 1 being having the grand daughter with swine flu. Just wondered if any one has stomach ache with tamoxifen, I have not really tolerated it from the start. I have had stomach pain for nearly a month now pain in back as well, worried it's the C spread. My doc has done bloods which came back fine. felt my tummy and said she could not find anything unusual. Had an appointment at breast clinic and the dr said she wanted me to have an ultrasound, which is tomorrow. Any thoughts Libby xxx ... View more

HI ALL Nicky- yes I am going to try and keep busy, hoping that the week will go quicker, although I have to find the energy to do those extra things.. Sal- oh dear Sal , I know how your feeling , I was and still am having a nightmare with tamoxifen, I was told by 1 doctor to stop it for 6 weeks, then spoke to oncologist and she said because my tumor was e positive I should still be taking it, then when I saw a different doctor yesterday she was shocked that I stopped it for 6 weeks, missed messages or what ?. However I have decided to persevere with it, to be honest a bit scared about stopping it again , due to my recent lump. Carole- hope your doing ok [[[(hugs ]]]. HI ALL Just back from breast clinic, had ultrasound and biopsy, plus she took sample of discharge. I am a little calmer than I was this morning, however it's the dreaded waiting game now, results next Friday 9am. Carole- hope your recovering ok after your op. Getting nervous now about my 9am appointment in breast clinic tomorrow, must try and calm myself down, treated myself to a pedicure yesterday to try and take my mind off it, then a friend said stop worrying,, you can't change anything, ehat's going to happen will happen, thats all I needed to hear, true as it maybe.
