Hi Elinda, I don't really want to be on Omeprazole whilst on holiday as one is more prone to infections due to the reduction in stomach acids. However, I will take some with me in case I need them. Hi Elinda, Honestly it's a laugh a minute. Have shower using simple gel and soft facecloth, do not rub. Rinse thoroughly in tepid water and pat dry. Apply moisturiser supplied by doc all over. Wait for it to sink in before getting dressed. Did not look too much like a lobster this morning and the rash soon went. Much, much better. Got the Wind-eze tablets from the chemist this am. Brought up loads of wind, very ladylike of course. Like the way the tablets say they gather up the little bits of wind and make them into bigger bits so they can be expelled easier. Hi Ano, We are not brave and you don't have to be. We just try to help in any way we can as all of us have been there and gone through what you are feeling at present. I was so sad for you when reading about your husband. Your Breast Care Nurse should be finding the time for your questions as that's what she is there for. Hopefully you will get some answers when you next see her. I think that at this stage you need to speak to someone who is trained. Seems to me you would be better phoning the helpline here, number above. They will be able to answer lots of your questions and help you to help yourself in making decisions. Hi Sue, There was an article in the Mail this week about Aqueous cream saying that the cleansing part of it is too harsh and very drying. Try patting a thin layer of Aloe on and letting it dry before you get dressed. Keep it in the fridge so it's nice and cold when you use it. Elinda, I have not had Omepraxole for 3 days but still had a really bad bout of trapped wind last night in bed. I sucked some Gaviscon and eventually went to sleep half sitting up. Woke in the middle of the night with a stiff neck. The rash is still coming but not as bad so here's hoping. Something gave me the runs today so I think I will stop the peppermint and try some of the windease capsules. Thanks for the info. Hi Elinda, No red wine for four days. Not the same having dinner without my usual glass. The rash is not quite as bad as it was on Friday. Although just putting moisturiser on makes it come back. As far as the indigestion goes I think that I may have it under control. I had a very bad episode yesterday, the pain was unbelievable. I decided that the pain was not reflux but trapped wind. Not a nice subject but there we go. My friend popped round to the chemist, had a chat with the pharmacist and arrived home with some capsules containing peppermint meant for IBS. I did not think they would work as they are meant for the bowel and don't dissolve until they get there. Decided to give them a try so stopped the Omeprazole. Hi Jules, Gosh, that's a bit much but just go from day to day and it will soon pass. I had my chemo every 3 weeks and was told that the injection would last from one chemo to the next. I suppose it depends on how much you were given. The injections are expensive so it's good to hear that you are being given the best. I was given mine immediately after the chemo. I was told that it would be the day after and the district nurse would come. I said 'oh please' I will be feeling well on that day and I don't want to waste it waiting for the nurse. They were very good and agreed I could have it the same time as chemo. I must say that I did not have any reaction to the Neulasta. Just remember to keep taking your temp. If it goes high contact your emergency number, don't go to A&E, too many germs there. When I was neutrophenic at night we contacted the emergency doc and persuaded him to arrange direct admission which he did. Your Gp can do this during the day. I am sure that all will be well but it's best to be prepared. Get lots of rest, lots of fluid and treats. Fingers crossed for the rest of your treatment. Hi Elinda, According to the doc I saw in Wales, urticaria and indigestion can go together, normally caused by something ingested. I could not think of anything I had eaten that my friend had not also had. We had tried a new red wine and I wondered if that was the cause. I gave it up for a few days but maybe not for long enough. Now I am giving it at least three weeks to see what happens. I had a shower this morning using my normal gel and within minutes of patting dry I was like a lobster. I put Aloe Vera gel all over. It took an hour to vanish but the Aloe definitely reduced the itching. I have got some Piriton to try immediately the rash appears, as the one a day was not helping and was making my pulse race. I will continue with the Omeprazole and see what happens. I did think about a virus but temp and BP are normal. That's not conclusive I know. Thanks for trying. E ... View more

Hi Charlotte, Thanks for trying. I hope your hubby is okay now. After the attack I had last night I had already decided that the dose of antihisamines I was taking was far too high. Hi Kate, Sorry you are going through such a bad time again. Never seems to stop for you does it. What do I see when reading through this thread? I see you sorting things as you always do. Keep going, you will get there. Well, you wanted a child and now you've got one, a bit older than you thought but someone to love who seems to trust you, and why not. It's obvious that your OH can't cope at the moment, it's just too much for him, well 3 women are a bit much for any man really. Hi all, Not funny when you can't go. When on chemo I took Dulcease capsules to prevent constipation, they make the stool take up lots of water so they are soft. Worked a treat. Stick to Paracetamol for pain relief. Very funny Blessing. I was very moved. E ... View more
