Hi Horace, I am also not over weight (not yet anyway but I will be very soon I know) my oncologist was saying my tumour has not shrunk so thats why I needed stronger chemo , also he did say 4 fec x 4 tax but this week when I went to have my treatment he was not there so I had to see another onc and she was confused took her so long to decide what to do, consulted some other oncs and she said 3 tax, which I was pleased but in other hand I am worried if this is not enough to clear the cancer cells. I also believe and thats the case with tax it cost more and probably much stronger side effects and so they try FEC and some other first and , I have been reading many ladies with FEC a lot of problem not doing it is job properly as tax.
I am having my first tax tomorrow and I also sailed through fec easily done , but very very scared with all the horror side effects with tax, like nails and extra aches and pain.
Good luck to all ladies on any treatment you are going through , it is horrid but we will be much better by May, thats what makes me happy these days dreaming all the things I want to do when spring comes and all treatments are over. I want to go running in the park , start playing tennis, swimming , weight lifting going to gym 🙂 beautiful new hair ( hopefully if ever shows up) etc etc ... hmmm so when I think this way I don't feel to guilty when I am nibbling on food all day long 🙂 All I am worried will I have the energy after all this chemos , I hear it takes years to get rid of tiredness.
Best wishes and sweet dreams
